The star witness testified today at the perjury trial of the baseball legend Roger Clemens.

The witness is a former trainer who testified that he started injecting Clemens with steroids in 1998.

When the pitcher was with the Toronto Blue Jays.

And that trainers testimony clearly conflicts -- that of Roger Clemens words to congress ten years or later.

Let me be clear I've never taken steroids or HG -- -- to drugs should play no role in the game of baseball and athletics at any level.

Clemens' lawyers maintained that is the truth and they say the former trainer is flat out lying about all of these injections.

Trace Gallagher with the news the trainer went into all.

Full lot of detail Trace yet.

-- Brian McNamee was testifying about exactly when he first gave Clemens that first shot he said it was at his Toronto apartment and he said it was at Roger clemens' request.

He even said Roger Clemens is the one -- provided the steroids.

He went on to say he injected Clemens an additional eight to ten times that year they were just beginning to get into clemens' time with the Yankees.

When the trial ended for the day he'll be back on the stand tomorrow.

The defense of course plans to paint Brian McNamee is a man with -- zero credibility.

Who has a history of legal problems a history of substance abuse problems and honesty problems -- Clemens' defense is clearly going to attack him and say this guy is out for himself he may be out for money.

He may be out for a number of different agendas that have nothing to do with the absolute truth.

We are told the entire time that Brian McNamee was on the stand today that Roger Clemens was staring very intensely at him.

-- and the judge made another ruling today this went on former teammate Andy Pettitte and -- pitching great.

Sure they played together on the yankees' Andy -- of course has the knowledge that he used steroids and says -- back in 1999.

And 2000 he heard Clemens say.

That he too used human growth hormone but.

-- acknowledged that the accuracy of what he heard Clemens today.

Was only 5050 now in a court of lot testimony is supposed to be better.

Then 5050 still the judge allowed it in though experts say -- as testimony may not matter.

This will all come down to how credible Brian McNamee is on the stand.

Shot Trace Gallagher -- -- I -- thanks.
