And from city after -- commencement speech at the show.
Steve -- gradual and with Larry wing it kimono and tea good morning.
So we had you on our program today to talk a little bit about the the president's speech that he gave yesterday at Barnard College here in New York City what did you think of the speech.
Actually thought overall it was pretty good speech he made three really good points.
He got fairly political through the speakers -- Was said.
But it's an election year and I understand and you can expect that to happen.
-- his points were -- fifth -- the things he talked about was you know having perseverance is pretty tough to disagree with that he also talked about.
That you only recognize and acknowledge success if you had failure which is it is a huge life I think that is the strongest point made throughout the entire space that's something I say -- that you can't always expect success you have to experience -- you're probably even more failure you experience -- more likely you are to achieve success and which is our idea given the fact that -- -- and Mitt Romney apart that he had to -- some people off his business did at some juncture is.
Because not all with the bitten the businesses that Bain Capital started we're successful.
-- just the way it works not all of what anyone does and business or alive has always going to be successful it's ridiculous -- right.
I -- -- your speech that was sort of hear your answer in response some people can go to FOX & Friends dot com and print out your two minute and 32 speech.
Was that it wasn't its political.
And you said that during our -- -- show that you know you feel that.
-- political people shouldn't actually be giving commencement speech is why I do I think we do our students are real disservice I think that's our lack shot to talk to them to sit OK you're there.
What really matters is if you accomplish something and what the real world one is people who can start something and finish it.
Now let's tell you what you can do in just a few minutes to go out there and make a difference so I think we should be using more business speakers.
People who have made it who've lost it and made it back then those are the people who are going to be much more inspirational instead of us robbing them of that moment.
And making it about our politics sure but the politics of academia -- -- Is you know a lot of these kids have been in school for four years at these left leaning institutions and so the last big speech -- they -- Usually a big lefty.
-- that's true and I and I do think that's a shame and I do think that it's wrong.
And but I do think that's what you can expect especially during an election especially during this year.
So you continue to go and do speeches for people all around the world what's coming up in your schedule.
I do I leave here to go to Alabama to -- and -- I go to Australia for a couple weeks to work all over Australia my message is basically the same not spoken a 400 a fortune 500 companies this is what I do for a living.
But it comes down to take responsibility to -- to be flexible things are always changing.
Life sure don't fall your business as your own fault it's not working you get go to the mayor and lay the blind pretty much the same core message.
Yet because a lot of people have gotten to the top in business and and other businesses.
You know and enterprises.
And by the time they get -- they kind of forgot how they got there they forgot about the fight to do the best you can -- that a lot of people just get clouded meaning to clear away the clutter.
I think you need to be reminded her -- while to get back to the very basics of what it took you to become successful.
And get back to the basics of working hard treating people well respect your customers they have all the money anyway.
Doing the right thing billing your lives and your businesses on honesty and integrity.
And they need do need to be reminded that puts human nature though you you get successful you get a little fat you get a little lazy but the biggest problem with success is success yeah.
I I smell a bumper sticker that's where that would make a good refrigerator magnet to -- or just a hallmark -- make and we'll put our names on the bottom so nice if it did so can you say what the title of your new book is -- is -- not I would be happy to say the title with titles called grow a pair.
How to take back -- your business and.
So long hair I grew up there -- I -- to put -- -- the women to.
Right and it does not get.
I'm under the title are written some great to have you thank you so much on revenue don't have come back to FOX & Friends and maybe you'll be doing the commencement speech again you're next here -- -- as.
Very nice is the first time we've ever done the after the show show in downs and had Dana had a guy at a podium well -- -- work for you have the but I liked it -- I -- you did -- thank you layered thing.
And off he goes to Australia but first Alabama don't forget that -- on -- -- -- Minimum.
