Our that are growing concerns over new report on president Obama's health care -- suggesting that millions of low income seniors.

Could lose their Medicare coverage over the next few years.

From actually functions medically team and professor of medicine at.

And -- use -- medical center with me in studio good morning use more comfortable trying to sort through all this stuff.

What's the reports today.

Here's the bottom line bill.

Poor seniors can't afford the -- of secondary insurance -- Medicare so they look around and they choose Medicare Advantage which gives them coverage for their prescription drugs their basic services.

Everything at one shopping place Medicare Advantage.

But most seniors according to this new survey don't live.

In counties where the -- plans are that's not surprising in other words the Medicare Advantage that offers everything all the bells and whistles.

Doesn't happen to be in the places with a -- -- Along comes Obama care and it says hey we're gonna give bonuses to those plans that are rated very high.

By the senator from Medicaid and Medicare services -- -- bonuses so you'll have lower -- openers.

Sounds good on Paper but the war are not gonna benefit from that cause they don't have access to these plans.

And even if they did they wouldn't choose them because the premiums are higher so it's another example of where -- -- says.

We're gonna help you but it really makes things worse for pork and if so what do they do then under this option or this plan as forecasts -- I don't know what -- -- gonna do because they're not going to get.

The benefit of obamacare today go to -- local hospital will be treated in emergency room if they can't get the services here's the bottom line -- the services aren't available they will have to go to the local hospital.

And get treated by the emergency room -- doctors are bailing out of Medicare Advantage and -- was doctors -- Mickey taking Medicare in general.

And we're seeing the same problem with Medicaid bill by the way.

As obamacare put sixteen million more people.

On to Medicaid.

Basic services are being cut by the states who can no longer afford them so once again the -- suffers.

-- seniors are suffering because -- Medicare Advantage plan is either going to be no longer available or won't -- what they used to.

And straight Medicaid patients are suffering because there's services are gonna be cut or more and more people are going to be flooded and and -- not gonna get basic.

-- -- -- Medicaid essentially for the for the country Medicare basically for the seniors to.

Are not in poverty.

According to the government figures at that point anyway Medicare covers almost fifty million people in America what happened to the whole argument about it election coverage you -- But -- billed Medicare patients -- of them are poor are one point that out when you turn 65 you may get Medicare you may be port that's why you can't get a real plan.

President Obama's idea that everyone's going to be able to keep their coverage is not true at all first of all worked we just talked today about how you may not be able to keep your Medicare Advantage plan.

I just said Medicaid itself is going to basically -- change.

If you have employer based coverage we've talked before about how your -- -- drop you you may end up on the state exchange or on Medicaid.

You got Medicaid you have a doctor see your patients every day in New York which so that.

Well my solution would have been to start by understanding that the -- that the federal all of our insurance programs are already bloated.

That there's already too many people waiting in my exam on -- -- too few doctors.

That we already have a problem with the system instead of expanding and already broken system.

To 32 more million more people we needed to scale it back and it really reexamine what basic services -- that needed because.

On that point and you've made this point repeatedly -- the doctors to take care of the newly insured or the ones who are seeking out control in the air.

The emergency room to -- protection.

To get insurance.

Bill and understand that is a two -- problem problem number one we're gonna be -- 160 million that -- 150000 doctors short by 20/20 five.

Problem number two the doctors we do have.

Are dropping out of insurance.

So expand insurance for your doctors saying I'm taking cash only or moving to a -- what's the story for today but it's not a story that's going -- -- -- -- for solutions next time we -- solutions -- -- thanks of our --
