Well it was -- one of the most watched moments of the last two weeks.

Comedian and actor John Muppets was doing an online podcast.

With director Kevin Smith.

When he was get a chance for some additional thoughts and boy did he share watch that's.

Now they went into anything during the put in the work that's my point.

Reason.

Now how this whole thing with -- bomb saying -- risk self pay that tax.

-- -- The -- -- paying taxes.

Tell you something right.

Firstly -- feared -- throughout the United States of America do you think there's anything you want Gulfport so -- -- Gulfport and then you make everything.

And work -- and I thought you know.

I violated a dollar and out of every dollar I Texas -- -- did he says I have to get it like enough.

It's a very dog you may two dollar gift to give a dollar that.

That said no that's not right that's -- you're not paying enough.

-- -- John Lovett John welcome to the program.

Thank you so.

What -- you focus in on that in particular the American dream I mean is that your background as well.

-- -- -- I am my father was very successful doctor in Los Angeles I grew up very nice but -- -- while I was in college he's an after -- you're not after cause your on your own.

And so.

For about six years I live basically on five dollars an hour about 600 dollars a month and so it forced me to make something of myself so I had advantages but after that.

They unite I put everything together from nothing and that.

What happened was I was watching TV it does happen in January and and I saw the president saying that.

You know the heard.

Of millionaires and billionaires 1% in that category making went to 250000.

Dollars not aren't paying their fair share of taxes any any keeps saying it nicer and yelling at my television -- he's lying.

He line -- it's not true.

So I did a podcast to make.

At a comedy club John Roberts comedy club and podcasts theater Universal City in Los Angeles and I was doing with Kevin.

And somehow I got out about you know you if you work hard and -- Sacrifice and you know you you take a -- you -- gulf -- -- had you have a chance of at least getting somewhere.

-- -- are Arnold Schwarzenegger says nobody stops you in America I mean he came -- nothing you know and and I realize -- to be anybody can go for it you know but it's really hard and there's no guarantees and you've got to take the risk and you just.

-- least you have a shot at making something of yourself whatever it is you want them.

Pretty pretty much lets you have you know some people have horrible situations in the camp but on the whole you can.

So I was just mad about it so that night so I just went off on that as a front battered front had a 120 people.

And Kevin -- online performance later and it went viral -- and I I'm the first to say hey I'm just that I'm a comedian I'm an actor who cares what I think about taxes.

And I agree the point isn't dollars.

Not that I said it but it's what I said and why did it go viral and apparently I seven a lot of people are thinking -- -- -- thanked me.

-- all my friends that work hard and it came from nothing and ended well they pay their fair share of taxes.

Well that's -- -- -- -- you're an area you're next you're in Hollywood you you know a lot of rich guys and gals I'm sure what's what's their reaction.

There -- they're thinking even people that don't make a lot of money are are thanking me.

For saying it because they're they feel like they're being vilified because.

They are are successful and you know the message in America as you can do anything you want.

And the best example one of the greatest examples is the president himself who I also said is amazing but -- of the headlines said.

You know John Lovett says the president is amazing because everybody would say you as I would love who cares you know.

-- you tiger -- -- -- challenges he faced growing up without his father extraordinary.

-- -- father he's of a mixed race which is a burden in the United States.

And you know at an almighty and then he he made -- of -- -- and boy did -- make something of himself he went to the top.

But his point and other others like him in -- people who feel the way he does about taxation.

Is that.

The EU taxes and and -- and the work of that middle class and blue collar folks.

Helped you and other 1% -- is get to where you are so you do owe something back.

To the people who help you.

-- of your success.

Okay but the fact that he's acting like you'd east phrasing like you took all these things from these people now you have to give back.

-- -- and take anything from anybody you know first of all second of all yes.

I open a comedy club.

With money that I say it's all over 25 years so that I created jobs you know I'm saying then and -- do agree what I'm saying is.

It's false to say that that people that tax bracket aren't paying.

There are only paying 15% taxes -- that's on capital gains on the salary.

You know your taxes that about 388000.

Dollars not be taxed at 35% and -- you have 11%.

State tax in California -- 46 both properties by can on and on and it goes up to probably over 50% and then you have legal deductions.

But the Democrats and tell -- now that back in the day you know back in the in the fifties.

There were some tax rates that were.

In the ninety's and ridiculously high rates and the Republicans went out there are tons of deductions -- the next to paint.

Did -- -- -- -- its ridiculously high also back in the fifties.

You know you had as civil rights issues you had you know a women's issues I mean I don't know how you compare what's going on today -- sixty years ago -- you know.

You you say that -- Democrat anywhere in the sixteen hundreds there was no country so when we go back to back up and down do you think that and the air is filled out there that's sort of how this country -- -- What we're democratic -- for Barack Obama has -- Ben.

Any push back on you from from fellow Democrats who support President Obama and do you think he'll get began to get.

I don't know I would never tell -- And I think if you're if you're Republican or Democrat a conservative.

Or liberal you should be that you should be true to yourself and be who you are I would never tell anybody who to vote for because.

You get -- -- -- qualified to honestly and I also feel.

What if I -- I said you should vote for this particular person and people do because I said it just because I'm.

Famous and then -- they've I've told them to vote for the wrong person -- The backlash -- -- -- is on Twitter I've got like 101000 extra people but it's.

That unusual thing is because all I'm saying is I I'm paying my fair share of taxes now.

People say all -- race this year and not see I'm Jewish Shimon Nazi now I'm.

I mean the most ridiculous things I've ever I've ever heard.

But it but as far as and affecting -- or anything it has isn't it hasn't affected their law if it -- it's an opposite I'm getting job offers.

Do not love it and the whole thing is amazing to me it's gone viral I don't know why thank you for being here and -- -- -- wearing.

Just give out a main event in.
