Good evening I'm Bret -- with a little less than six months ago before the election governor Mitt Romney's bid to replace President Obama.
Is going the wrong way tonight at least in one poll the latest Fox News polls out this hour short drop off for Romney in the head to head match up.
This comes as the GOP challenger unleashes a blistering attack against the president's economic policies.

Among independent voters who often decide close general elections the new fox poll shows Romney leading 3429.
But -- advantage has diminished in recent weeks the gender gap remains substantial.
