On his part anyway.
-- -- -- talking about drama or brinksmanship.
Or my democratic colleagues are grossly people are looking to me like -- On the guy -- us but sort of around town and we -- -- bludgeon someone.
All I'm suggesting is it's time for us to talk about this.
We know what you do it in the -- -- to deal what that's sort of why are we gonna wait.
That's Texas congressman -- and certainly the vice chairman of the house.
Financial services I -- sir good morning.
-- -- -- -- -- based on what we have seen in Washington we we've watched these debates and issues play out they always go to the last hour the last.
Is this going to be any different.
Well.
I don't know bill I would -- -- -- the subject with high hopes in low expectations what I do know.
Is that the American people know that we have a legitimate debt crisis.
I mean under President Obama this nation is racked up more debt in three years than in the previous 200 and you don't have it's a threat to our jobs and have a small businessman in my district saying.
Why should I expand on -- I'm gonna be called upon to pay this federal debt to threat to our national security it is certainly a threat to our children's future.
In the speaker says you know what sooner as opposed to later we gotta do something about.
You know to quit spending money we don't.
To that point about direction in an American business and regulations because of the wet blanket.
-- covers the country and lays over soon.
Keeps a -- a little bit where we are but what you have you have Democrats on the other side Chris van Holland because it recklessly and responsible.
Because he -- well identified as the threat Nancy Pelosi calls it immature and irresponsible.
What would you say to them.
Your counterpart well what I think is they're responsible is borrowing.
As mr.
van Holland and -- Pelosi and mr.
Obama have done is to -- roughly forty cents on the dollar.
Much of it from the Chinese and then send the bill to our children and grandchildren.
I would say it's also you're responsible mr.
van Holland miss Pelosi.
It mr.
Obama to say you know what what we -- in Washington is business as usual we don't even -- any debt ceiling vote.
To be a small speed bump on the road to national bankruptcy.
I mean people can looking your network and see what's happening in Greece for a country that didn't shoot straight with -- people that didn't live within.
It's means that it now broken promises to generations and frankly.
It's chaos if we act today.
We can do it every American family every small business doesn't it is live with in our -- -- our children grandchildren.
Can have greater opportunity.
We for the first time in American history people are -- their children aren't gonna have a brighter future it is a big wet blanket this debt that falls over our economy.
I mean it's one of the things that the president has done to help create the worst jobs record.
Since the Great Depression you agree when speaker Boehner the other days that you can use the debt ceiling as a tool to get Washington to -- Well I hope so otherwise you know -- it begs the question why do we have it if we're just going to ignore it.
It's a wake up call it says hey wake up you're not living within your means you're spending money.
You don't have in -- this speakers laid down a very simple principle and that is if you gonna increase the debt ceiling.
Did it's time to start bidding the spending -- and living within your needs and its -- like saying okay the bills of Columbia and and we're gonna pay the bills but you know what.
We're going to create a budget and we're gonna cut up the credit cards and by the way it's been almost.
Three full years since the Democrats who control the senate -- even getting to bother to write about -- It's going to be a busy six months and I'll tell you what by the end of the year.
Debt ceiling bush era tax cuts payroll tax cut one point two trillion automatic spending cuts set to kick him.
Get canceling we're gonna talk a lot of the next six or seven months figure out which way we're headed thank you for your time today -- thank you our market was.
