New developments today in -- case that got a huge amount of attention a half year ago.

The disappearance of ten month old baby of the baby in a suburb of Kansas City today for the first time in months the parents agreed to face the media.

Making Kelly picks up the story from there.

It was a little more than seven month.

Ago that America -- first reported on the disappearance.

Of a ten month old baby girl but the rest of the national media would soon referred to as baby Lisa.

The Lisa Irwin case quickly attracted enormous attention in part because of a powerful news conference with her parents.

And in part because of the shocking and -- -- nature of the claims that someone had actually broken into a house and kidnapped a little baby.

While her family slept.

At the height of the investigation hundreds of local county state and federal law enforcement were involved.

In searching ravine is fields.

And the area around a nearby river.

And I had a chance to travel to the -- home look at the crime scene talk with police and sit down for an extensive interview with little Lisa's parents.

Now -- -- was legal team says they are trying to draw attention to what they believe is a new lead in this case.

And Lisa's parents Jeremy Irwin and Deborah Bradley as well as their lawyer -- tack -- are giving.

Their first national media interviews in months they join me now.

Welcome all of you thank you so much for being here thank you -- Deborah let me start with you I want I just it's it's been you know few months since you and I sat down together and and I want to know.

How you are.

There's no words to describe.

Come.

What we feel and we'll post our minds every day.

There is not -- second in the day that I don't think about her.

-- she's.

And how she's doing and what kind of living condition she's in and who -- how long it's gonna take to get around.

I think a lot of our.

Viewers would be 11 -- how they could function.

How how they can function will have a choice you you don't have a choice anti fall apart that I can't finally some -- good.

And -- -- -- to my two boys that are home waiting for her to.

-- you say that you believe that there's an lead in the case that you want pursued no it's something that's new to us it's not that new -- you.

But it relates to -- an an attempted use of your debit card.

About a month after Lisa went missing on November 6 what did you see where who who try -- well.

At what company was your card attempted to be used.

On November 6.

-- -- card was used.

Successfully.

For a website that.

Allows you to change.

Your name and change children's names online.

Over the Internet and from what I understand they're accepted by the United Kingdom passport company and.

It went through and appeared to -- -- would gentlemen purchased so they were they charge 69 dollars to.

21 of my cards and we're where were wondering you know what's going on with that we're not getting any answers and we found out about it.

In the middle of December.

And we have heard anything we just keep getting -- standard repeated.

It's been checked -- to we're checking into it but.

You know I think it's I think it's time that that we get some answers from somebody.

This is from the police and we checked into it.

Current Joey looked into this ourselves that you are -- that you guys gave us -- -- first we pulled up a stationery company.

But -- -- back and did some digging we did see that that stationary company's name at least or if you are I'll address just.

-- somehow connected to our web site.

That allows you to change your name or your baby's name.

But -- -- it debit card wasn't stolen on the night little Lisa went missing you know.

Your your right but there's really this -- sequences in this case Megan and this is just -- one that has to be answered.

There's ways to find out who attempted to make that charge on that court -- court to make it appear.

That you know deflect attention away from someone else to make appear that they were trying to somehow change the child's name was approaching when George -- That's what critical company stopped that there were things that -- matching on the addresses and whatnot.

And there's way to do that because you can find out the IP address of the computer that -- do it.

You know we we we don't have that -- we've turned this over to the law enforcement agencies were investigating.

You know we haven't heard anything and it's just another -- Simpson's case and it could be nothing could be an MP lead perhaps.

But when you start adding things up when you -- that unbelievable -- of who we have a missing baby and and there's a charge before one chores on some website.

That actually changes children's names over the Internet which is unbelievable to me at that exists.

When you couple that with the 1157.

Coal from -- from former went missing baby Lisa that night.

1157 half hour after this individual Jersey Joseph got off of -- there's a -- -- Megan right.

We now know is jurors -- on again off again.

-- girlfriend -- Someone who who Deborah -- -- Megan.

You said that she is of no.

And Debra and that's the first time that phone ever doubt this make your -- number.

And and that's what went missing with the baby so you can say well this just to show -- some to do with it but when you couple that with the fact that we human beings.

Eyewitnesses have nothing to do with this family who -- by all accounts very credible have -- identifications.

Of post midnight that night but an individual matching the description of the -- Joseph walking with the baby and just a diaper on in the middle of October -- Kansas City.

We spoke to it and that its neighbors who live around the corner from you and they maintained to us that that is what they saw shortly after you said.

She went missing that they saw a man who was ball -- which Jersey Joseph was on the night in question hit -- close shaped head.

With the baby right around the time that -- she would have gone missing but the police say.

They may have.

Moved on from -- you know move on from something like that we want answers.

We understand that they have a job to do.

The TC PD had a job to do the FBI had a job to do but it's been almost eight months since we seen our daughter we.

Want answers and we want -- and we're not going away until that happens until she comes home.

Do you feel like they've wasted time taking such a hard look at -- -- -- -- absolutely.

I understand the initial.

Looking at us initially.

This -- it was -- really messed up place obviously silence came in and stole my child I understand that that people exist -- see it on the news all the time as well.

But you know after about a month or so.

And with all the -- -- just mentioned you with things that.

They would stay would start looking elsewhere now maybe they have an -- and I don't know about it I mean I talked to the FBI over the phone consistently.

Almost routinely.

But.

It is frustrating is when you feel like you're not getting any answers it's like what where are they looking what are they doing.

It I know some of my viewers are going to be listening you thinking well they would have taken such a hard looking you if you had been honest about your drinking from the beginning.

I was honest I told them that just because I didn't say it on TV.

Doesn't mean I didn't tell the cops that right up front did you tell them that you had between five and ten glasses of wine segment that you were possibly blacked out yes it did.

Did you tell them that you had last seen little -- that -- 640 initially or at 1040 a -- that -- her to bed around 640 -- said it wasn't -- -- tacked on after that when I went to bed at 1030.

You originally as I recall said that you -- check on our 1040 and then when you spoke to the media months later you said.

Maybe I didn't check honor that was it that was a reversal in the case and -- a big one.

Now and I and I understand how that looks and and and but people don't get is that when your when your face in a room with with all these cameras.

And it it's not like it's hard to remember because your -- telling the story I'm telling the truth it's just that sometimes.

When you're talking to somebody and all these cameras -- in a -- and everything like that you just kind of fumble over your words and that's but it really was just an honest mistake I'm not lying he and I had not -- this entire time and -- I'm in Japan despite what you do low cross examination and then this is the -- sudden jump in.

But you know I I'm I'm I'm hard of hearing people condemn her she's a woman.

Who lost her baby I mean for ten seconds someone try and walk and those shoes and understand what she's been through and you saw that first initial press conference was she couldn't even speak.

So the fact that -- they -- called if she actually check on her baby that night at ten.

Forty -- -- maintained she put to bed at the same right around 640.

The question was did you check on her when you went to bed -- you were -- -- first.

Maybe she said she did later but that's the point is -- -- went to a struggle -- but it was.

Don't know what happens now I remember -- what I -- what I wish she she originally told law -- they're look -- initial reports were that she last saw the baby at 1049% that's see that's the problem that was the time when that we were dealing with an effects -- are you reporting that a cop all the cops didn't see that's what the cops.

Have put out there through -- some spokesperson but I spoke.

With the FBI I understand time of the Sinai and I and I tell CNN I'm gonna he might have been -- -- -- I haven't seen those I suppose you might as well but the but there was no question it early on that the initial report was that she -- last check and the baby at 1040 Joseph.

And then when I sat down with her she said actually.

I don't know whether I checked on her 1040 or not I went to but it's just like you're getting lost in the weeds I just wanted to let him and -- its -- try to reason with -- because I know my viewers cared about that point right.

And I wanted to pitch and so I still had across examination I'm just asking my head and it's easier to answer any.

Questions but again.

This is I think why we've lost so many precious moments in this case you have -- witnesses identified a man matching a person who happening Colin from that cell -- -- on again off again girlfriend which went missing with the baby three human beings when witnesses to that seeing a baby after midnight in Kansas City would just that I brought.

And we're focusing on whether she remembered if you check the baby at 1040 I just think it was a little misguided I think from the beginning this investigation -- -- -- See that's that's how it is and with that with news today it's all about entertainment I mean and people will pick it -- car and speculate and it's just is the way things are.

I had no idea until this had happened and we were on TB or -- holes.

Thank you thank you all -- and -- thank you.
