Hi everyone I'm meteorologist Maria Molina from the fox extreme weather center with your forecast for the northwest.

And also the midwest and we have a trough that's building into parts of the northwest and this is going to be there a reason why -- gonna notice a bit of a change in the weather pattern we're gonna have cooler temperatures.

And it isn't -- some of the higher elevations and some rainfall on some of the lower -- -- grab the umbrella.

You're gonna need it out here across northwest as we -- -- the next couple of days.

As a tropical continue to -- on and so today every little bit cooler 53 for -- Seattle's 55.

Over in western parts of Montana 61 in Spokane and in Billings Montana high temperature over the warmer.

Then further off towards the west and 67 degrees and that's a head into the midwest this is what we really have that -- building so.

-- the trough we actually have -- we caught a ridge.

So high pressure in place a lot of sunshine out here and that also brings in some very warm temperatures like in North -- we're expecting a high today into the 199189.

Over in Dodge City.

And a point also on the warm side at a high temperature this afternoon at 82 degrees and -- -- continue eastward across the Great Lakes that we're going to be seeing highs into the seven.

And 74 over and the city of Detroit now with this trough we also have some moisture with and so we're going to be seeing those areas of -- on even some -- on some of the highest elevations.

As of that cold air continues in day Bonnie and and some of that moisture is moving into portions of the upper midwest along northern Minnesota and also northern parts of North Dakota.

And even seen some light showers here and there across central parts of the planes but it's generally going to be a dry day out there.

And we are -- even see some of those showers and storms continuing to fire up across -- northwest as we head into your Wednesday and house -- Thursday and you can see some of that what -- on -- -- appear on our future radar.

I Wednesday morning across northern Rockies so that's when you have some that -- air digging on name.

In Minnesota you're still gonna have to deal with some lingering showers here and there.

By Wednesday morning for let's say -- city of Minneapolis the -- otherwise.

A generally dry pattern for the central plains and -- that system continues today on east where you gonna see some showers and storms.

Pushing eastward across parts of the plains.

As we head into late Wednesday and also into Thursday morning behind this system still cool out across northwest.

With those lingering snow showers have a great -- everyone I'm meteorologist Maria Molina from the fox extreme weather senator.
