Hi everyone I'm meteorologist Maria Molina out from the fox -- -- weather center with your forecast for the southern plains as well as -- southwest and it is going to be a scorcher out across both the southern plains and also the southwest today we're talking about triple digit heat across parts of western Texas second El Paso.

Where you're expecting high today at 10194.

Over and -- 92 over in the city of Dallas Texas and even a hot day.

In the city of Houston we're expecting a high at 92 degrees.

As we continue our track west where we have an extreme heat as well across parts of southern Arizona like Phoenix -- wait for your time.

105 over in Tucson and 103 expected in the city of Las Vegas.

And -- how -- here across the southwest is that it's not only gonna be a hot day when we do have some excessive heat watches or warnings in effect across parts of let's say.

Southern Arizona and Southern California.

But it's also going to be a -- -- and a windy day at that so there is at risk for and or elevated fire danger out across the southwest.

Any wildfires that are still out there right now or do get fired up could spread very rapidly because of those dry conditions.

And also the windy conditions we could -- wind gusts in excess of 35 to forty miles per hour at times out here as we head into the rest of today.

And also into your Wednesday otherwise we'll -- -- lingering showers here and there across parts.

Other Texas Panhandle and not really a huge deal they'll take a look at our future radar by Wednesday morning still pretty much dry out across Texas effort pop up shower.

Here and there across southeastern Texas and also the coast.

A Louisiana and as we continue our track westward four corners relatively quiet except for some -- shadow -- down.

Into parts of Colorado by late Wednesday into early Thursday morning -- by 9 AM Wednesday Thursday.

That moisture will be out across parts of Colorado went further up toward the east.

Into the plains of behind that says some a lot drier so hot across Colorado Utah by Thursday morning it's still a little breezy out there -- on the warm side across parts.
