Brand new controversy over the president's attack ads targeting governor Romney's time at Bain Capital.
The mayor of Newark Cory Booker a Democrat and Obama ally called the campaign ads quote nauseating political discourse on Meet the Press over the weekend.
And Republicans quickly sprang into action urging supporters to -- I stand with Cory Booker emails to the White House.
Now mayor Booker speaking out once again.
Chief political correspondent Carl Cameron live in Washington with more on that.
Mayor Booker Carl is complaining that his words are being twisted.

-- possible because the -- mayor broke ranks with the Democratic Party and his president and got scolded for it got a lot of negative feedback and he's been explaining nonstop.
Ever since that what he really meant was that Romney's record is fair game.
And he argues now what his words are being taken out of context and twisted around and -- staffers are being driven crazy.
But it's not actually walk back the criticism of the tone of the negative attacks on both sides.
President Obama defended those attack ads yesterday called -- a good mayor.
But mr.
Obama's top political advisor David Axelrod took -- to task.
And a democratic think tank just last night -- Booker noting that since 2002 he's received more than 35000 dollars in contributions from -- officials Bain Capital the company that Mitt Romney used to run.
The subject of so much criticism of his business record.
And he has also taken mr.
Booker has more than a half a million dollars in Wall Street investor type donations so.
The irony here is President Obama gets lots of Wall Street money to.
And one of his biggest bottlers -- big democratic donations is Jonathan Levine a managing director at Bain Capital.
Who was actually directly involved in one of the companies that closed down under -- that Democrats complain about -- Romney.
Even though he'd left the company for the for the debate before that actual -- shut down.
