-- -- missing a stream of reports that indicate there -- some top Democrats are distancing themselves a bit from president Obama's attack.

On governor Romney in terms of his work in a private equity farm.

Former DNC chair -- Rendell is among them he reportedly said this quote.

I think they're very disappointing.

He's referring to these attacks I think -- is fair game because Ronnie has made it fair game I think how do you examine it the -- hole on.

What you say is important as well meanwhile here's vice president Joseph Biden.

So mommy says -- fashion where bashing.

Private capital that's not true.

I'm not criticizing.

Private equity firms.

But I'm suggesting -- people who run them.

The same quality in an objective a run in a private equity firm is not what qualifies you to be president.

When you're president -- job to see to it that companies can make a profit.

But not maximize profit every was expense.

By the same guy that sets us up for this discussion Jennifer Stefano is a -- Tea Party activists she's now with the Americans for prosperity group.

Teaching -- -- as a former deputy assistant secretary of defense for President Reagan.

And a Fox News national security analyst Alexis McGill Johnson is the executive director for the American values institute welcome everybody good to have you here.

A Lexus or -- surprising that we're sort of seeing some of these prominent Democrats Harold Ford junior is well kind of saying you know and Cory Booker saying look you know -- let's not attack private equity in this country.

You know that they're sort of putting a little bit of an arm's length to that argument.

I think I mean I think I think we're seeing a little bit of a family feud and I think we -- in our party as in the Republican Party there's there's significant difference about how we go and approached.

Attacking Mitt Romney on his record and I think as.

As we just heard Mitt Romney put this out there as his experience to manage a global.

Financial economy and I think that that it's all valid and so we should be attacking his Barrett he's betting his record at -- and we should also be betting.

His record you know elsewhere -- -- actually sent a lady and you that aiming higher million dollars from private equity firms is coming and there's nobody has been elected in recent history who hasn't.

-- -- tapped into it and had meetings here in New York with these folks and have -- you know we'd love to have your support.

And that the campaign that the Obama campaign -- a lot last time around.

They've got about a hundred million this time around is that a factor here this is not an attack on on private equity it's not an attack on Wall Street -- capitalism this is really fundamentally an attack on Mitt Romney and what he says his experience -- to run this country and so we have we you know it's fair game we have the right at Newt Gingrich brought about it.

Is that if this is going to be a debate between we socialists are we capital.

Analysts which one you want I think a lot of the younger members of the Democratic Party are looking events and be part of that debate.

Because I know the American public is gonna come down on the side of capitalism.

To socialism so I think they're walking wherever the heck -- that it was fascinating.

Is if you look at how Cory Booker was the mayor of -- -- and I am a Democrat -- Rhodes scholar African American superstar -- the lady next door and a birdie gelding he's the guy has come out and said not just don't attracting capital.

But.

It with negative campaigning.

And if you look at that the main thing to watch is Cory Booker when he made that statement he was leaning forward -- was aggressive.

He was saying I'm sick that's all going back at each other and then when he was worth it when he -- -- -- -- Why doesn't -- It was clear that it was not -- comfortable mom and you know corn bread is another good point in this well discussions well.

Cory Booker -- well as Ed Rendell and other people who run a city or run a state.

Know that they -- that investment in the city they need to encourage capitalism and -- -- certainly in the state New Jersey Cory Booker.

Has had good relationships with that this financial firms in the heart of -- they're people that he has had to.

Work with and wants to encourage their business and I think in a larger scale level when you look at the country.

That's a big question for us right.

I think people have to remember the president should remember that.

What finds all jobs in America both public and private is private dollars and investment that's what funds at all so I heartened by it is because I thought -- -- -- bipartisanship is dead.

But that moment you -- Democrats Republicans people like -- all coming together saying Mr.

President please stop it's been from three years of deflecting responsibility.

And blaming others and people like me or fed up with that we're stretching our budgets women are trying so hard to get back into the work -- it's just not working you talk about that and not the -- why did things.

Joseph Biden said and President Obama said it is you know.

That -- is good at creating wealth and that's that's -- he was was working at but what a president needs to do is to give everybody a fair shot.

You know that that's the role of -- president and I'm wondering if that's an upbeat and knocked.

Message to encapsulate the American imagination at this point to say like.

What we're here for just make sure that everybody's -- gets an equal amount and and then you can figure out yet.

Is message gonna generate a you know winning message for the president you think you'll like that it's starting.

It to move us forward right which is the essence of where the Obama campaign is trying to take -- -- it's a message about opportunity what creates opportunity and to your point -- who creates opportunity.

And you look at Mitt Romney's record have been doing it if we don't have that on cable that's fine.

But his his record at being with about about essentially laying off people -- not creating opportunity yeah.

But let's also talk about his record as the governor of Massachusetts Massachusetts.

I think with the with 47 in job growth right -- arriving during his tenure so it we can talk.

Larry I mean I think that's all fair game and yeah -- yeah.

-- -- -- -- out of it to be on the table and I think I think that that may -- why the focus has been more on his private sector experience -- it has been.

I'm Massachusetts -- I guess the one thing about Mitt Romney being their -- and I'm not here to defend Mitt Romney but I am here to defend people.

Who do what he doesn't put their private money into businesses.

He like -- cancer doctor.

And he -- when he when he ended that would being capital 7%.

Of the sick -- and sign a law that I'm actually been someone who has been laid off.

And it's a terrible feeling it's painful but I know the companies that laid me off hundreds of other jobs -- saved by cutting would need to be hot.

And it's the same thing in a family budget or or anything sometimes difficult choices and cuts are made then acting like.

You don't really feel that there aren't that I didn't -- -- that's the ticket I haven't changed.

I -- that I didn't blow it off that.

That's the one question that that deaf people will decide when -- got -- dividing this into any trouble see what they think thank you so much Lexus KG.

And have could have hero here I was he says thanks and I think there are.
