That is John Wolfe junior and guess what you probably had never heard of him until last night when he won more than 40% of the vote in arkansas' democratic primary so why does -- unknown lawyer from Tennessee.

Do so doggone well out in Arkansas among Democrats.

We'll answer that because this is power play welcome back.

Welcome back Charles hurt and joining us is our friend chuck Rocha he is at let's see how do we just let me count the ways -- former senior advisor to John Edwards.

-- stalwart of the union movement in this country and he is an expert on this subject.

Because he's Texas Democrat by by extraction so -- the deal is this we know President Obama is -- -- -- and so.

Diego winning kick venom directed -- Diego win in West Virginia these are not states that are gonna fall into the democratic -- But there are a lot of voters these same.

Down market blue collar white working class voters in these states that happen to be a lot of states like Ohio Pennsylvania even Florida certainly in east Virginia.

What's the deal how does the president make his.

It's to that I think that it's it's a little bit different from West Virginia and Arkansas just as you said the Obama campaign will spend a lot of money and a lot of resources.

Through the use -- -- campaign -- -- to -- Ohio.

In Pennsylvania in Michigan.

Getting their story out to do to saw picture of the differences between the candidates I think that's the big difference not a dollar spent in Arkansas or Kentucky in the primary he's no names getting a big percentage really -- this is a big campaign going off and a lot of mobilization on the ground to at least a tutor.

Stories where they get a little stuff in Arkansas they opened up some offices and they and and and gives money to state party in an effort to try to help because they didn't wanna have -- problem did you did you know.

Is -- and this -- of course cast is somehow.

A silver lining for the Obama campaign.

That that actually Obama collected more votes in -- Romney did.

In our in Arkansas well well the problem there is -- know that what that really means is that the democratic it inside the ticket was more contested -- -- does well and and and there's there's and that certainly Charlie two to that point.

As chuck points out the Obama campaign in states like Virginia and states like Ohio and Pennsylvania and and -- -- you've heard of Bain Capital.

But I think that some folks there are going to be reminded.

That Mitt Romney -- news that the -- that Mitt Romney is a rich viewed and they -- because I'm a little bit about why Kansas rides -- horse rides horses retrieve his.

Trains them fortress.

Which is -- not a kind of sandwich I found out reading the Internet.

But senator Smith John Kerry was right but okay -- -- -- -- but so far it's not like these it's not like these voters that we're talking about here are in love with Mitt Romney.

But -- But you know it do.

I she chuck is exactly right there that do President Obama needs to go back to his 2008 -- Where he -- days.

A message tells the story about how he's gonna help working families and things like that.

The -- doesn't work or at least it never has worked and you can ask just anybody including John Edwards or Al Gore.

Do these class warfare.

This class warfare attack.

Using the Bain Capital where you you have this incredible civil war going on among Democrats.

That not only does it cause you problems on your side it.

It has never worked it just isn't gonna work.

They're -- but there's two stories that are of them that are being told me there's two philosophies of where you want to take the country and what we have to take from Mitt -- not talking about his years as the governor he's talking about in a businessman -- -- businessman being able to turn around the economy and so there's two stories.

Obama campaign -- we can go back to the bush years and have this economic frame of -- that you make a choice whether it worked or it didn't work.

But when bush left office we -- 750000.

Jobs that month and had twenty about -- sustainable job growth but he would say.

That's not good enough but we are making steps to be out that that's the -- in the debate I will happen.

We're gonna talk about Bain Capital we're gonna talk about the businessman president model.

And and that stuff in our next segment to check I wanna I wanna play with you guys edge and and imagine this scenario.

And imagine if Hillary Clinton had won the democratic nomination in 2000 -- I suspect that right now Mitt Romney be about fifteen points down in the polls.

Because she and her husband right today her husband would be campaigning in leaning Democrat Missouri.

Right now her husband would be campaigning in places like Arkansas like Tennessee like southern Ohio places that Barack Obama can't play right now.

Isn't -- a problem that Democrats chuck have moved left under Obama and given up a lot of it I mean this was the bedrock of the party white working class blue collar voters were the absolute core of the Democratic Party and now they're drifting way off to the right.

I think that it's it's different from state to state.

But I think that we've seen our country -- you've seen the -- to the west so you have less -- that -- of those older voters are now retired who moved to Arizona who moved to Florida and that's why you see the electoral -- shifting west to Colorado to New Mexico to Arizona -- so there's -- -- the -- for the Democrats in southern Virginia and there's -- -- -- based in Cincinnati Ohio -- -- -- -- campaigns for twenty years like I have I've seen that change -- you have less about what I -- -- relation both of African Americans and Latinos of working blue -- people and other senior citizens -- you put together that formula for democratic victory.

That was that was the -- actually I wrote today.

In on the power play which you can have for -- to the cost of a Twitter follow it's so easy it's so easy why would you do it SEC -- you can do that and also you can -- sound off here you can do whatever you like and I can -- you get what you pay -- you do it's absolutely worth the investment but Charlie that question for you oppose this could Bill Clinton win the democratic nomination today is the -- is the Democratic Party in a place where and I'm not saying Bill Clinton because times change and it's not -- to be a historical -- relative risk.

But could a moderate.

It's red state kind of Democrat and here we're talking about my dvd from Arkansas are Joseph Manchin from West Virginia somebody like that could a person like that when the democratic nomination.

I'm about to get myself in trouble.

But I would actually argue again going back to this I think that we we could be looking at a major shift it in Dallas this coming election.

President Obama is -- trying to take the Democratic Party.

Took place a lot even a lot of Democrats don't want -- know obviously we hear the most from.

There's the left.

A lot of the anti war left and and you know the people did that -- most enthusiastic about Obama.

These people that would've supported Hillary in 2008 then did and and did to -- it to the very end.

But I would argue that yes he could and the and I but I think that.

I would argue that Bill Clinton could win the denomination.

I mean I'm not this year -- but if it were just a blank slate is absolutely not I.

I would argue that that what we're seeing this liberalization of the Democratic Party is not.

Exactly where room.

Much of the Democratic Party wants to go look at the Bain Capital stops its -- it's a nightmare that they would I think in a lot of ways they would love to get back to the more centrist.

Okay let's you know.

And not beat up on businesses.

Beautiful and democratic nominee Joseph mansion might be be a guy like that is that a possibility inside today's democratic partner OK I didn't think that what you're talking just a lot smarter than he is Smart -- Talking -- imagine you're starting about the magic man I'm talking about a reasonably low to moderate.

From a -- a state like that and I think chuck is absolutely right.

But I think Bill Clinton you know coming from east Texas grownup in the south I remember my grandma sitting at at better -- -- Who's passed away now of talking about Bill Clinton and how when he to give a State of the Union Address in -- BP's Texas.

You know grown up in time she grew up -- she said it's like he's talking -- just me say she's a baby he's just like he's telling me she -- us get involved in politics and I would just listen to her.

As an -- us of what she thought she'd tell me a lot about what she thought what she's like.

He's just talking to me he is hard to make that connection and you gotta put Bill Clinton and a little bit but there.

They claim that did you imagine I imagine you know Bill Clinton he's gonna go out I get a lot he's good and he can deliver I've always -- I don't know not our right okay well I've.

Give us a -- back home I think -- I think that's I don't think it's just made some very insightful points here today I'm not so sure -- earlier.
