Before I decided that our committee and the senate -- -- should do anything I want to talk to chairman king and house and see what he has in mind because we've worked.

Right now there -- allegations.
But there's serious and congress little look at them seriously.
A fair -- and we'll we'll follow up with you on that to see how the story progresses new residents.
In national security is a parent and history and interest for for all Americans which is why bring up that other story is that part of the story today but -- -- Secret Service.
It's been reported.
And you know more than than the average Joseph but there's been reported that national security as well as the security of our officials were not compromise in what happened in Columbia.
So what do you hope to achieve through this hearing what forty need to learn and and and where does this go from here.
Right well director Sullivan testified today and I have no reason and I think I know -- two disagree with him.
That our national security was not compromised.
By the misconduct divisions.

A pattern of behavior -- somebody who would want to compromises security.
Of the president of the United States.
Would knowing that Secret Service agents are in town and and have a have a predilection to partying would.
And -- -- engage them and learn information.

That could lead to danger to the president so.
The fact that it didn't happen.
And Cartagena Colombia doesn't lessen our concern about what what's gonna happen now is.
We're gonna continue our investigation we're gonna continue to oversee what the Secret Service is doing -- to investigate Colombia but also.
To put in place from new rules and procedures to make sure that this doesn't happen again and really significant today.
The inspector general of the Department of Homeland Security who also testified announce that he would now be conducting in response to a request.
His own independent investigation.
The scandal -- -- -- so that we now we'll have an inside investigation.
And an outside independent investigation not a -- best -- -- to do for the future either secrets.
You only have about a minute here but I was president's recommendations in new rules it would seem that it would be pretty obvious that this behavior is unacceptable and against the rules so as far as recommendations will there -- -- a Secret Service do you monitor the Secret Service how do you make that it would -- this changes in his new rules actually -- like.
You know I think diverted taken action to make sure that supervisors going a lot of these.
Foreign troops.
But also -- got to drill and to everybody in the Secret Service.
Agency that they do when they take -- risk and do something stupid or inappropriate or -- immoral.
They're they're really putting in danger of -- safety and security the president the United States and and they're compromising.
The reputation of what really is a great government organization so our aim is to restore.
Public confidence.
And everybody's confidence including people in government.
In this Secret Service and and I think together we can do it.
