Plus this morning a potential complications.

Now.

During major talks on Iran's nuclear programs those talks in Baghdad are now officially over there were two days of them.

To Iran reportedly accused western powers of -- of creating a quote difficult atmosphere in these talks.

US development diplomats say that they were hopeful that they could reach a compromise.

With Iran's regime Republican Lindsey Graham.

Senate Armed Services Committee and he joins me now good morning senator good to have you here.

Good morning the obviously there are few greater threats to the world really drive it in nuclear capable Iran.

And the hopes of these talks were that we could turn the clock fact that we could get them to stop enriching uranium that we can get some of -- to be shipped abroad.

Are we getting anywhere here.

No they did sanctions are hurting the economy in Iran -- you're not changing the behavior that difficult atmosphere created.

Is not around the nuclear capable program is the Iranians themselves they killed over 2000 Americans in Iraq.

By shipping and I -- -- made in Iran and they help has -- Hamas attacked Israel.

There a big agent.

Supporting terrorist organization -- that the local biblical latins here.

Is the Iranian regime's threats against Israel I'll believe that they should not be allowed to rich.

-- -- any uranium at any level.

I don't trust them to be able to -- just for peaceful purposes.

I think we'll never know what they're up to -- that they should stop all enrichment.

Hand over all enriched uranium -- 20%.

And open up every site that we suspect to be -- Iranian nuclear program to spot inspections without notice anything short of that would be a huge mistake.

They continued along this march really over the past several years in racing more uranium -- that weapons capable.

Capacity twenty percentage and point out.

They've also buried my some of that capability so deep beneath the surface of the ground right behind such thick walls.

That even a strike probably wouldn't get at them and a lot of these talks are are to avoid just that strike from Israel.

-- -- what how is that looking in your opinion.

We'll put yourself in the Israeli position this is inconsistent with developing a peaceful nuclear program.

I don't mind nuclear power reactor being -- in Iran I just want to control the fuel cycle.

I don't mind having a nuclear power plant in Iran I just won't.

People we trust and can verify to provide the -- I don't want the -- -- to enrich fuel at all.

But why would you build a reactor at the bottom of a mountain for medical -- purposes.

Why would you go through this this this hell of sanctions if you're not trying to do something beyond a peaceful nuclear power plants so what I think Israelis have to face.

Is it every day that goes bad they need the program gets -- in Iran and Israel's ability military moves slowly bit slow it down is lost.

They'll come appointed time when Israel has to make the decision.

When they believe the Israelis believe that their military capability it's been diminished.

To slow down the Iranian program they're gonna have to do when a -- things.

Let that when the clothes and -- toll on the United States -- at themselves.

-- believe they're gonna at themselves I don't believe they're gonna give their destiny over to the United States -- matter who's president.

And the Iranians -- marching toward a conflict that they don't change your behavior.

And if there's a conflict to come with a run it will be of their choosing not mind.

I don't trust these people -- new -- in -- at all they talk they negotiate and they enrich -- -- about to put the world in the dark.

Yes I it sounds like you have no hope for these sanctions I know there's stiffer sanctions in terms of oil exports from -- that are supposed to begin on July 1.

Do you think that that would put a meaningful stranglehold around -- that would put them in a position where they would have to start turning over some of this stuff or no hope for even that.

Well I think sanctions have really gotten their attention but they haven't changed their behavior the only way they'll stop.

-- march toward a musical weapon and they believe that they get a nuclear capability the world will leave them alone like North Korea.

-- for them to believe there's a credible threat of a military strike sanctions alone will not do it they believe they can survive an Israeli attack.

They believe they can survive an Israeli attack militarily in the world will come.

We'll be divided in some will come to their side they know they cannot survive an all out military attack you don't need boots on the ground from the United States.

If they believe they will that we will not use military force to stop their nuclear program but to me now -- the election.

I think they're gonna try to break out and -- obtain -- nuclear capability as soon as possible.

Scenario senator Lindsey Graham has filed this very closely questioned the Senate Foreign Relations Committee say thank you for being here on -- -- -- how we hear from.
