Wisconsin where it already looks like Election Day voters are lining up to cast early ballots and hotly contested recall election there.

But members of one big voting bloc of -- left town almost college students up.

-- young voter turnout is low who stands to lose the most governor Scott Walker -- war in Milwaukee mayor Tom Barrett.

Are taken to the ground in Wisconsin -- -- -- and we're here on the campus of the University of Wisconsin in Madison to find out how much of an impact.

The youth vote may have in this recall election taking place after school let out -- -- deaths in 2010.

15% of Wisconsin voters were between the ages of eighteen to 29 of those 55% went for Tom Barrett 45 for Scott Walker.

We caught up with the editor of the local school paper the daily cardinal Scott Gerard.

You know students have been pretty engaged throughout the process.

I think across all the -- and -- spend some people giving somewhat tired of the partisan atmosphere.

And I think that's trickle down to students as well.

And but I think the students who are engaged -- -- gave some very.

Into the results understand the effect especially with what's happened with university budget and things like that and I just -- Syria chancellor leave after a big dispute.

-- it was working with the Governor Walker and so there was some issues than some people got a little upset and she ended up -- -- Fair to say then dead.

The larger part of this in regulation -- -- walker yeah I I would definitely say that campus here in the students here.

And I think.

That's just a general.

At UW Madison Wi.

Are generally leaning liberal we're in a very liberal city.

But it's the passions have come out on both sides and those who supported walker have been more vocal than.

What I've experienced before everything that's happened over the last year as far as Republicans aren't.

That's the biggest issue I think I've seen with the recall being June 5 is -- aren't here.

And so trying to educate them about absentee voting because of that.

New residency requirements everything that have been going.

Trying to make -- in tennis -- that before they left.

I know I've had -- that -- -- the dean of students tried to get word out just because everyone wants obviously student voice be heard.

I don't know how effective that was really an -- in -- go to fit them.

What the votes.

Alex have you decided if you're gonna participate in the recall vote and if so what do you think of -- bringing them down.

On I think going to it's actually loaded for senator -- If he -- decided if you're gonna participate.

In the recall election and if so if you decide I hear about.

I'll probably be voting him back.

Reading Scott you support -- -- -- Jeremiah he'd be decided if he'll participate in the recall election and it's so you know which we might go.

I haven't decided -- inside and just today I was the president and the college Republicans on campus.

Back last winner we saw there.

Thousands tens of thousands of folks just -- few blocks from here -- capitol protesting.

Most anti walker students is that wing here.

Were people still as passionate as it stills as big of a deal on campus.

As we so you think.

Yeah it's definitely waned the numbers always I'd get smaller on you know last year might have been -- skip class and paying out it drums and sleep in the rotunda.

And you know protest.

But.

You know the facts speak for themselves you know you people can see -- that the sky -- falling -- -- rolls on campus after claimed that you know the whole education system -- -- -- that the university would be torn apart.

Because on the budget cuts but we see that's obviously not the case with the reforms that Governor Walker -- -- it's actually put us on a stronger for it.

So I mean it's it's hard to -- protesting when the facts are clearly against.

For the record we reached out for comment to the college Democrats -- Wisconsin here in Madison and elsewhere no one was willing to talk to us.
