Talk about a real American pride the national Memorial Day parade in Washington DC.
Every year folks from all over our country they go there they come together paying tribute to those who have sacrificed their lives for America's freed up.
This year we are honored to have these patriotic.
Folks with -- riding along in the USA cares -- later on today after the show but first.
There on FOX & Friends joining us this is she now it's Iraq better and Brian Anderson and Miss America.
2012 lark Kepler thanks so much to both of you for being with -- I don't apparently -- welcome.
Brian let's start with ya wanna find out more about the parade and what's happening today but first tell us your story and -- 2005.
Was a very tough here for you tell us why.
At the end of 2005 and October I got blown up on October 23 2005.
I lost both of my legs and my left hand.
Two and IED improvised explosive device.
And then I woke up at Walter Reed in Washington DC.
And I woke up.
To my family being there and kind of showed me support and you know okay.
That's it it was it is what it is and I need to do what I needed it.
-- we heard a veteran earlier saying that.
Used the servicemen and women sacrifice lives and -- and I thought about you when he said that.
You wrote you went on to write a book no turning back why that title.
Well it is you can't go back around.
And it was off of one of my friends that loss of lives in Iraq there was a picture that we kind that.
Utilized for his memorial and it was.
Him standing there kind.
Half cocked backwards half cocked forward.
And.
You know that was kind of my a tribute to him.
And also.
You know there is no turning back you're I was moved forward or at least I am.
-- good lesson for all of us to learn in the military or not you have to move forward and remember to take lets you take what was in the past but move forward right and move on.
Am really proud of you for doing that -- what is your connection here and what's happening today in Washington why -- you there.
Well I am here in support of the Memorial Day parade and it's sitting next Brian is just such an inspiration he is just truly a remarkable hero and only one of the people that we need to say thank you for their service today but I'll be riding with him in the USA cares floats this afternoon.
So we've happened this morning and we're gonna have a great time this Afghan time.
Miss America your learning what America is all about aren't you yes I am.
What you -- you look great and I noted that Euro -- dollar gonna have a great time today thank you so much for being with us Brian thank you for serving.
