A veteran heard on the battlefield in Afghanistan he's now back home he's helping other service members.

And their families in a very unique way Fletcher -- is his name he started this.

And he is our guest today great to have you -- sir.

Good morning -- -- wonderful thank you well I love I love the story -- swings tell us a little bit about what it is and why you created it.

Sure -- such -- to clarify I've never actually been in battle I'm just one of the citizens out there that.

That understands that we need to be supporting our wounded warriors and and all of those who serve us so well.

So that's why I do it but -- to give you little background about -- swings.

-- swings is named after two people.

Luke Shirley and -- wing field and the surely was a wounded warrior that we met back in two -- 2007 at Walter Reed.

Army medical senator Sarah -- was a Redskins cheerleader ambassador who met him.

And about six months later told me the story of how he was recovering from his battle injuries.

Having lost an arm and a leg in battle.

And you know just kind of struck a chord with me in it and analyze -- one often I thought geez these folks.

These heroes these service members these wounded warriors.

Need to have their families with them while they're recovering.

And so very simply we started a non profit -- tax deductible 501 C three nonprofit in January of 2008.

And started flying families -- -- military hospitals.

So fast forward about four years and now we're in 2012.

This year alone we've spent about a 1181000.

Dollars.

And flown over 240.

-- members.

In and out of eight different military hospitals around the country well we also -- -- wounded warriors home for Christmas -- -- alive days for birthdays for the births of their children.

We pretty much just try to make sure that every single one of our wounded warriors has their family.

Surrounding them throughout their entire recovery process -- -- and that and that's what we did a case it's only a little bit about how it works and how we can help.

Well that's a great question thank you so much we take donations on our web site.

We work with corporate America which -- develop relationships with companies all across America who are supportive of our veterans and our wounded warriors.

If you if folks want to help and by the way -- the audience here are our biggest supporters last December they really came through for us.

And I helped us flying a lot of wounded warriors home for Christmas so -- got to thank them for all of there.

All of their sport all of your support but just come -- the website you know today's Memorial Day donate five dollars donate ten dollars were booking flights every single today.

Last night I was that there were two of our wounded warriors from Walter Reed we all took him out to dinner.

We're flying their families in and out and and will be for several years to come so.

Please donate and in terms of how it works families just call us call our office.

Or fill out the application on the website or they go through the case managers -- the military hospitals.

And we get him on airplanes we get we get him out the same day in one case if I if I may.

There was a wounded warrior out at Fort Carson Colorado and at 10 o'clock in the morning he found out that his father was on his deathbed.

And he talked to his case manager of the case manager talked the Red Cross the Red Cross called us.

We drove him to Denver airport.

We had him on a flight within an hour.

And his father found out that that his son was coming and waited.

To see his son and they had three hours together in Boston Massachusetts and hospital in Boston Massachusetts well before -- father passed away so we'll.

Think we have that we have a lot of lives -- things good and thank thank goodness for that swings and thank goodness for that you know the folks that are watching this right now and you know -- -- -- we possibly can help you.
