A teenager punished by her school for trying to defend a mentally challenged student from bullies.

Eighteen year old stormy rich says she had seen a girl getting bullied for months and had reported it to school officials.

She says they did not respond and finally she decided to take matters -- -- hands.

And says she wound up the one having -- face the consequences as a result.

This is just outside of Orlando Lake County Florida Megan and stormy -- is actually a senior but she's able to ride the middle school bus because she doesn't have a first period class so she says these middle school girls work constantly.

They were giving her -- that they put their mouth I had to tell it actually spit it out he she didn't understand.

She told the bus driver who she says did absolutely nothing that she went to the school again she says the school did not thing and so she decided to do something.

And then next time she saw these girls bullying this mentally challenged girl.

-- threatened them to stop well the middle school girls then went to the school and told on stormy rich.

And she was kicked off the bus permanently.

The school says that she displayed bullying behavior -- two wrongs do not make -- right and the school also says the mentally challenged girl.

Never complained about being bullied.

They won't have friends.

And sticking up for somebody why -- -- -- pretending that I'm never going to happen anybody else I mean I know we keep seeing the world but it.

-- by the way is an honor student at her high school straight days she's got two scholarships to go to college which she will go to in the fall Megan but in the meantime.

She's gonna look for other transportation to get to school because the middle school buses now from -- She's an honor student in more ways than one.

And this poor girl getting bullied on the on on the on the bus.

And this is what every parent hopes I think their child will do which is stand up for those who need to be protected.

It's the stuff we preach in schools across the country if you see somebody being bullied do something about it and this girl.
