There's a showdown under way in the House of Representatives right now -- are controversial -- That would ban gender based abortions choosing a boy choosing a girl during early stages of pregnancy.

So moments ago Republicans wrapped up a news conference saying that the bill is necessary they believe to preserve the civil rights of unborn children.

But Democrats say that they believe the bill violates women's rights.

Of course we all are opposed to sex selection based on gender.

That's not what this is not about women's health care.

And gender discrimination.
