LA.

So we keep the show moving here and now we have hall.

-- they'll sign you ready gas from his acting mark starring in the popular ABC Ceres private practice.

-- we also know him now because he's showing -- his musical side these days.

Through live shows this summer Ernie as new album -- is pandora's called all the details.

So welcome -- and it I get all the details.

Priority if I'm good -- -- you know.

Great step let's talk about this new album first saw how long it -- band playing music and Helen -- playing music but this end.

I'm playing music.

Who gosh up pretty much my whole life and I'm playing with this band fur.

About a year and a half here in Los Angeles but I started in Chicago years ago in the kind of moved it out here when I came out here.

And this is your third album with the band practice.

Correct so why is -- -- what kind of music do you guys play.

Gosh well I consider wrestled songwriter first songwriter singer first so it kind of runs the gamut from piano ballad kind of whiskey soaked late night stuff to acoustic rock to -- songs to satire itself.

Everything from like early -- -- to Paul Simon to.

Gosh I don't know spoon and The Beatles the Beach Boys everything.

That's a lot a lot of influences with a lot annual -- as we lot of music and just so we know how many roles you've played it and when you doing and vocal and piano -- been doing both of those for a long time to you.

Yeah I've always sung and played piano I grew up taking lessons and I started playing guitar -- I was about sixteen years old so I do a lot of the Qatar a lot of the piano and all the thing.

You also have a -- new music video out -- -- fan.

I have a certain plant which I can show that they might be best if you explain it after tell us what your concept was for this so let's play that effect from his music video and -- -- talk about it.

Okay we'll have a little bit of that music video but let's talk about the concept of I mean if somebody who works in TV and found women.

When you approaching music video where were you telling with -- Well.

You know you don't want it to be too literal and you want to be kind of visually arresting or whatever there's so much visual medium -- to try to get people to listen to the song so I I hooked up in the sky Brandon -- -- was -- great visual artist.

He had this idea for the video of just.

Basically shooting.

Kind of weird Thanksgiving dinner.

And we did that -- built all our own tracks for the cameras and it's amazing what you can do digitally now I think it turned out pretty nice and a little odd which I like.

-- you're playing ally India some live performances coming up tell me about those where you had and you can't have -- -- a weekly or gay -- it.

Yeah I would -- -- -- this month at a place called Ambon Hollywood and now this Thursday the seventh as our last show.

Been really fine on the kind of sit down red -- place you get a martini mistake came.

We've been having a really good timing and hopefully we're going to be playing in Chicago and New York this summer as well.

Great now let's talk a little bit about -- -- doing -- in between private practice right.

Yeah Ellison I'm pregnant -- -- and that you're directing the show now so how to -- about.

Well I directed 12 seasons ago and then one season.

Five and then I'm doing one this coming season six -- -- -- always been interested in and they really encouraged it -- set I was always hang around asking questions.

This and that I did my time in the editing room -- followed certain directors and it's been just a great.

Experience to do it because they're so welcoming and when you know everybody gets a lot easier I don't know what it would be like going into a strange situation doing it I think it turned out well.

Yes I can imagine the feedback from your costar loses the most important to you as well -- They're a little rough on me but I have a good sense of humor about it so I'm we have a good time.

Okay you a lot of comments online on the street just people talking about what they hope is gonna happen with these characters in the show I mean what's.

What do you get asked the most.

I get constantly asked about Cooper Charlotte my character Cooper and his TV wife Charlotte people are very invested in that relationship.

They have ten year old son now that they didn't know they have from Cooper.

I could -- a previous relationship you -- -- had the sun so there's a lot of what's gonna happen with Cooper in Charlotte and then there is of people are very invested in the characters so.

I get it quite a bit more often and I would think -- landowner and give them any answers.

Very very rarely mostly because I don't -- know what's gonna happen almost week to week which is one of the fun parts about.

Being on a show like this but I I try to give them what they have a try to be as honest to give them as much information as I can but -- I'm kind of in the dark myself.

Yeah you're resident also includes ER inscribed scenario AM licensed TV doctor -- You have an abundant -- an -- Nile engine.

I -- I have all I've just enough medical knowledge to terrify you because it's always he's crazy strange diseases and I can't really solve anything I just know that.

Very strange things happen whenever I'm on my TV show and I'm I'm playing a doctor.

I can imagine yes so maybe it works while at cocktail parties and you can just throw out these -- turn -- it does.

And that is.

And I ballot that does you know like I cannot go ahead.

-- please tell me what have you what have you brought out this -- party.

Well it as cover free -- -- practice and I'm a pediatrician so I know all the you know most kids.

Thankfully don't get sick and when they do it's always some very strange rare disease I have this whole list.

Of terrifying rare diseases in my head the people are -- asking about it at dinner parties and just.

It's kind of -- it first and then it just nobody wants to talk about it.

Yes there were some good.

This is a little scary.

Dinner talk the I love and it went -- CU when he returned back on TV and where people glued to find out information on the live show.

That are through the summer.

I'm all that information on Doris is -- -- music dot net.

And then we'll be back on the air with private practice in September we start shooting enjoy -- July again rather excited.
