Fifteen minutes after the top of the hour in the wake of 9/11 the religion of Islam.

Has been fighting a civil war its battle between Muslims who believe in the traditional Islamic faith.

And those who radicalized and religion in violent ways it's our next guest calls this the battle for the soul of Islam -- that is the title of his new book.

Doctor Judy jazz -- joins us right now stars Jesse do you feel ten years after 9/11.

That the that the Muslim extremist threat is dissipating or growing.

-- I believe it's growing because he really can't measure the threat just by terrorism.

-- is a symptom and the underlying ideology -- political Islam the concept of the Islamic state counter.

The western societies of freedom and liberty.

We've not been fighting that battle -- if you look in the Arab Spring as they get rid.

Thankfully of dictators.

You're seeing the surgery surgeons and the growth of political Islam -- Islamic states.

And that is not liberty that is not freedom might be democracy -- ballot box but it's not liberty and nobody's been fighting this there's a battle within the house of Islam.

That we need to have platforms to do and.

It's not been -- giving feel so that's the international threat.

But there's a domestic one as well.

And much has been made about the growing homegrown.

Terrorists here are some people.

Don't believe it's a big issue and you say it it truly is because -- you know if you look.

Look at -- -- -- here you have a psychiatrist army officer who ended up killing thirteen of our fellow soldiers was radicalized while he served.

He -- become a radical overnight it happened over time in now Milwaukee who we targeted in Yemen and killed thankfully.

-- he was radicalized on our soil giving sermons and various mosques in San Diego Denver and -- on the Virginia.

And my narrative is the opposite.

Also army and navy doctor served for eleven years.

But yet my narrative going up from a small -- Wisconsin we re able to practice our faith more freely in Wisconsin than anywhere else in the world.

So we understood that we were Americans first.

And Muslims anything else second that.

We could practice their faith in a country under god better here than anywhere and until we get that narrative out as a counter to political Islam.

Better than theocracy we're not gonna win and a terror -- what would you like it or not the dictators are going to from Tunisia to Egypt so now as the as the Muslim population such giving some hours.

-- that forced the extremists become more mainstream and say wait a second.

There's nobody left to hate we led to a run our -- place like this is what I -- one of my book is that.

We need us we need a strategy we need a solution so far.

The west and our government and has been looking for a solution in this administration and has not been equipped to do so they haven't had a doctor come from -- -- come from us how well I wouldn't give Muslim extremists a solution.

It's the American solution Americanism liberty freedom we have to dislike our founding fathers fought against theocracy.

The Islamic world is fighting against its own fear -- the Muslim Brotherhood network in America so far.

The groups representing Muslims have pretty much been part of the Muslim Brotherhood legacy groups.

And we have allowed them.

We've given them carte Blanche to represent Muslims and the vast majority of Muslims -- love America many people are wondering why people like yourself more of them do not stand up and speak out why and that's what this is is that the platform to let Americans know that there are many of -- out there in the business in the lake community that love our faith.

Understand its principals understand why America is consistent with our -- we need to push back.

Against radicalism but also against theocracy.

Against the sense that -- Islamic state needs to take comments and there's not been much Amal movement for liberty because we don't have a liberty doctrine in the Middle East and we need one.

The very that's coming from view and books like that rather than Americans telling Muslims what to think that's a single over -- and that's what we had a Muslim leadership coalition that's developing to push back against Muslim Brotherhood groups in America and abroad.

Doctors -- -- Sasser and author of the new book thanks so much good luck with that thing.
