We are America's election headquarters in right now primary day across six states and history in the making and Wisconsin were graduates everybody -- -- I'm John Scott both Republican governor Scott Walker and his democratic challenger from two years ago.

Milwaukee mayor Tom -- have cast their ballots this morning.

They join millions of voters in that key battleground state trying to decide whether Governor Walker should keep his job or whether -- should replace him.

The drive to -- call walker began after the governor released his plan to balance the State's budget back in February 2011.

It called for stripping most public workers of their collective bargaining rights and that move sparked massive protests across the strait.

State I should say it made headlines across the country.

Voter turnout today expected to be high near presidential election levels.

And the results could give both President Obama and governor Romney a glimpse of what's to come in November.

That's not all primaries underway right now in six states and there are some key congressional races to watch.

Including ones in California and New Jersey that pit Democrats against each other.

And have President Obama and former president -- Clinton fighting on opposite sides.

Larry sad -- is the director of the center for politics at the University of Virginia Larry you don't get to see a gubernatorial recall election very often.

What are you watching for in Wisconsin today.

That this is only the third one John and and we political junkies are getting a big fix tonight.

Obviously everyone knows that this is an off off.

Year race in the sense that it's in.

In June and yet there's going to be a giant turnout and I think both Democrats and Republicans will show up in large numbers.

But the crystal ball to be honest does as a -- this leaning.

Or likely walker for months we've never had it in the tossup category we think that most of the key factors.

In the race favor walker so will be very surprised if he -- confirmed an office this.

Is a -- run of the gubernatorial election from two years ago and and from what I can tell based on the polling.

It hasn't moved all that much I mean -- the polling showed that if walker wins his margin of victory likely to be about the same as it was couple years ago.

That it could very easily be a repeat.

You know that it's a retread election after just a year and a.

Half which frankly John is the problem with recall elections.

You know -- there's impeachment.

You can have judicial removal after conviction and if there's a real problem.

In someone's done serious saying you don't miss seasons malfeasance in office.

There are ways to deal with that I I'm not crazy about the idea of recall and I said this.

When Gray Davis was recalled in California back in the early part of the last decade.

And and again this -- costing nineteen million dollars that's a lot of cheese.

But let's talk until the congressional races which which of those that are out there are some of them have Democrats fighting against other Democrats.

Which of them interest you the most.

Yeah there -- three album tonight three Democrat vs Democrat contest -- -- in California but my favorite.

John is in New Jersey.

It's the New Jersey ninth that's northern New Jersey and it's not because of the candidates really congressman Steve Rothman and congressman bill passed -- It's because it's a proxy fight between Barack Obama in Bill Clinton.

This is a very -- race for that reason Rothman is supported by Obama why we'll be back Obama over Hillary Clinton.

In 2008.

Bill Clinton is backing the bill passed where -- why he's back.

For Hillary Clinton over Barack Obama in 2008.

You don't -- the Obama Clinton relationship is getting more and more interesting they claim they're friends others say they might be for enemies have.

And -- will see will see tonight how this works out.

Yeah it is going to be really interesting that to race in New Jersey because of the shrinking population of that state and that congressional redistricting their combining a couple of districts into one and two sitting members of congress.

Have to fight for one job musical chairs we're going to be talking about that Bill Clinton Barack Obama thing next hour 370 thanks for joining us.
