That was President Obama at a fund raiser with some exceptionally rich people in New York City.
With former President Bill Clinton talking about the fears anxieties bad feelings and -- -- They continue to hold sway with the American electorate.
And this is power play and Internet the mood that President Obama was talking about there.
And the anxiety that people are feeling is currently concentrated -- in convenient form.
Here in Wisconsin where the recall votes gonna take place and it has been our great good fortune to be on the road -- here with Bret -- He's the anchor special what -- Imus you know I don't need to do the introduction but I just like to say it because it makes the Internet TV sound more important -- but the anchor of technical.

But you know it was -- -- Chris that event with President Clinton.
In new York and it all in one sense Clinton made up for the fact that he called Mitt Romney's business record stir -- but in the other sense he said.
We could be in the middle of the ten year economic downturn.
And that's not exactly the Obama campaign bumper sticker you know ten year downturns.
At trump -- If oh Greg yeah forward you know -- only six years left read -- the only sixty -- this downturn so good news.
But for Democrats.
This is an increasing recognition for the president's increasing recognition that have -- environment -- more he talks like this you know and he's been stepping up to this for several weeks.
Telling his supporters be ready this is going to be close and then he's he's been stepping up now we're hearing him say this you know obviously people.
Like the way things are and it's going to be hard.
You were talking about this with you're with all stars last night.
About where it's at -- empowers basically dropped a duffel bag on the White House hadn't said that their paint McCain and that there that there at that they're reacting to this improper BI.
And I think that's -- -- and you add that and several democratic strategists who who say.
Negative type things about the way the Obama campaign the world Obama White House is working things -- you had Maureen Dowd.
With her column over the weekend Chris Matthews I -- the list starts ticking up about.
These folks who were speaking out saying that the president does have a lot of errors in his quiver when it comes the economy and I mean that is true if there's any long ball I mean there's talk about a Paul Krugman.
-- stimulus that the president would try to do.
That there's just no appetite for that in congress away and Democrats.
And I don't think that that could you know the Claire McCaskill of the world are they going to vote for John tester.
Is he going to vote for.
I don't think so.
So basically what you're seeing now and it and it's Anderson as you've identified all these players that Matthews the Dowd others.
You're seeing this Clinton Democrat shuffle here these are folks who generally are aligned with that more moderate part of the party.
The people that actually Barack Obama's great success was sort of throwing that over.
He came in and and defeated Hillary Clinton.
How long does this go on or do Democrats basically -- bind up there when.
-- and say we know this is going to be tough the president's right lets you shut up and and press on.
-- -- fast there I think it's fascinating to watch the clintons fascinating to watch Bill Clinton operate it always has been I think it always will be it's one of those things that just.
Is but he's one of the best big.
He is a bit.
It seems.
Passive aggressive at some time as the dollar I think -- I accidentally say something terrible about the guy who beat my wife in 2008 I didn't mean to do that sorry boss yeah.
So I think it's it's just amazing to watch that dynamic.
Her supporters are coming out talking about 2016.
And I'll let aggressively talking about it -- -- OC said that she's the woman this is the ticket.
That's the moment for women in America is Hillary Clinton.
I took note the so I I think when you get to the general election in the fall.
There will be this sense of Democrats coming together but how much they do.
Depends on how well the Clinton part of the party.
Says okay we need to make this happen and I think it's significant I mean -- the President Clinton was out here in Wisconsin with Tom Barrett.
And Barrett is trying to portray himself as hey I'm a Clinton Democrat.
In a place that really is.
You know on the left side of the coin fired up.
On very left issues -- it's not playing to that.

Then it got Bob -- Brazil or Neil Cavuto grew as he was trying to do he got the worst evidence is that -- do -- -- they were blowing through -- sailors of the entire time totally fun.
But we should of course stipulate.
The people in Wisconsin brought have been so nice very hospital I mean really one -- -- I just I'm gushing about it today but I'm just I've been so happy with the way everybody has appeared to break.
