This one -- his -- a disturbing number of vaccines for millions of children across our nation may be a lot less effective if they're effective at all.
There's this new government survey out and it it they found that some doctors are not storing vaccines correctly and that could place lots of kids at risk of contracting serious diseases.
Federal investigators apparently looked into the vaccines for children program which provides free immunization to kids of low income families.
The study shows that providers stored the majority of those vaccines in exactly the wrong way in the wrong temperature either too hot -- too cold.
Researchers say that increases the chance -- the vaccines may not be providing maximum protection from four preventable diseases.
Trace Gallagher is following how the -- find out about this.
-- health and human services ship went to 45 different vaccine providers in five states to see how they were restoring their vaccines and take a look.
Every single one of those providers had some sort of temperature problems either broken thermometers were not recording the proper temperature.
On top of that 39%.
Of providers restoring new vaccines it's 3929.
Leggett says there storing new vaccines with old vaccines.
And none of the providers were following all the federal guidelines the CDC says and I'm quoting parents need to know that they do not have to get their child.

By the way the CDC is now checking out a whooping cough.
Outbreak in Washington State to see if it somehow connected to this vaccine problem ship I was speaking of -- -- problem what do you do just throw all these vaccines a way that might have been stored at the wrong temperature.
Well you know federal guidelines say that any vaccines or compromise have to be isolated and then you call the vaccine manufacturer to find out if in fact those vaccines should be destroyed.
This study says -- 76%.
Of the vaccines were compromised in some fashion.
If that holds true cost across the country could be very expensive keep in mind.
We spend three point six billion dollars a year immunize and low income children.
If three quarters of those vaccines are somehow compromised.
That's two point seven billion dollars meanwhile Trace Gallagher in the Los Angeles thank you.
