Rep Peter you don't lie to congress and then lie about lying to congress men lie about knowing you lied to congress and then not fire the people who do it did all of that.
And have it be anything but a cover up.
That from -- -- -- on our program yesterday and today now we're just minutes away from seeing the attorney general Eric Holder that's what he was talking about.
On the House Judiciary Committee -- for -- grilling for the eighth time in the botched gun running staying honest.
Fast and furious as we await that Iowa Republican congressman Steve King will be in that hearing and he's with me now sir good morning -- from Capitol Hill that morning bell what your questions today.
Well up the first question have for sale be chairman I solely asking questions before I do I imagine he's -- -- ask.
Who knew about this at what level you're under -- mr.
attorney general and who covered it up.
And what's been your involvement in why don't you comply with -- -- -- for the information that we've requested wise and a partial compliance not a complete compliance.
And I think at that point it'll flow into the discussion about about.
The potential for holding Eric Holder in contempt of congress.
That has done flowed almost organically I don't know exactly where my roles going to be announced that -- questions you ask ahead of me.
We'll determine where I go I cannot.
I understand that -- Eric holder's gonna say in part with regard to fast and furious is that it was flaw -- and both concept and execution.
We think about that.
I think that's something that's been obvious for a long time.
Now notice so that would be burning up a few minutes of discussion time and it wouldn't be in response to a question I wouldn't think.
I'd say to back to him.
Attorney general holder you've been asked over and over again.
Who knew at the highest level who approved of it.
And what has -- who has been engaged in the cover up.
-- surely there has to be things behind that would cause I think -- a minimum great embarrassment to this administration.
If not somehow -- law -- law breaking that is taken place.
And in that's that's really what's behind at the the president himself has said that the only reason anybody wouldn't answer -- question I wasn't -- with regard to the fast and furious.
-- because they have something to cover up.
The attorney general's not answering -- questions he's not complying with subpoenas he's not coming for the information and user must be something that he's covering up.
We need to get the answers for Brian Terry for America and its congressional oversight responsibility.
This comes to -- did this -- -- -- eighth time he's answered questions.
From a committee on the -- Do you expect something new here.
I think I think that -- -- -- has some material that might be news I'll be listening very closely I had a short conversation with him why is it perhaps the wiretap information that -- discussed on our program yesterday.
We don't if it could well be my dad didn't take him down into that I thought that whatever the chairman I say has is proprietary to him and when he brings out the European Bank -- available to me later on this morning I'll certainly -- into that.
I do think there's going to be some new information I think he will -- it up very well we always run out of time especially when they're running out the clock from the administration.
So those of us on down the line going to pick up the ball.
But I I think that paralyzed so we'll be will be making that if you way to.
-- to be clear on this what he told us yesterday is that people what went ice this says about these wiretaps is that the -- holder's signature is not on it.
But apparently people who report to him on a daily basis -- ball that was his claim yesterday.
The other issue that -- hot on his voter ID law office what do you think the Department of Justice is doing in various states to crack down on that war.
Prevents states from cracking down on.
Well of course the Florida situation as one that just screams at us while the Florida secretary of State's office is in there.
Purging the voter registration rolls unidentified.
Hundreds of illegals that have voted in Florida.
Add -- the Department of Justice sent a letter that that said you must cease purging these people from your voter registration rolls.
They -- they cite some language in the in the voting rights act that goes back into the sixties.
And and I think that is an invalid an account analysis of and I think they've taken a position that's that's not not a legal position on this and they are suppressing the cleanup.
Of the voter registration rolls which enables voting of illegals in Florida if that's a case that affects probably every other state.
And if so this is that this is about I think Eric Holder Barack Obama Eric Holder identifying that.
They they see people that are here that are legal as undocumented Democrats say it like to document -- we we -- document them by the voter registration edge.
A few moments -- -- but more on that and we will wait Eric Holder will see what happens in this hearing.
We'll be watching for your questions and others fast and furious flawed in both concept and execution.
Could be a headline from the AG today sir thank you Steve King in Washington.
