Foursquare is out with a whole new look remember this is the company that came out with the check in feature really made him famous check in here and I get a badge.

If -- not the whole foods are at the Starbucks I can become the mayor.

Well the sort of push that to the side in this entire new redesign their calling foursquare five point -- I'll show you what's new ballistic.

First -- you'll notice is how much cleaner.

The foursquare app look right here on the home page conceal these nice tiles to see how many bad design -- how many friends I have -- -- lists on the part of perhaps the biggest change in foursquare five point -- takes the spotlight off of the check in feature.

Remember this is the feature that defined foursquare.

Now check in he's been moved up here to the upper right hand corner.

And what the company found was that many people simply weren't using check in at all they just wanted restaurant recommendations for places they were currently dining to see what friends recommended what -- to -- what sort of coupons to use.

So what do they -- foursquare decided to create an entire category for those people called explore.

In explorer type in someplace I'd like to go say I want pizza for lunch.

And I'll see a map of pizza places tap on.

This place the -- pizza truck I don't see that two of my friends have eaten there I can see from their reviews that they loved and one friend actually -- the crossed.

So I guess I know I'm where I'm going for lunch.

Then they also created something called lists I get great recommendations nearby and I'm really thrilled about this feature think of it as a personalized -- years service on your phone.

If you have three hours to kill in -- in -- city.

One on jump into the list that's labeled must visit art museums nearby from there I can see user generated feedback and tips.

And maybe spend the afternoon at a museum basically foursquare took all the parts of their app -- them up and rebuilt them from the ground up again.

One thing you'll notice is photos more prominent here in the -- Lot of likens to grams so you get to see big photos of places you've visited different restaurants -- was -- Starbucks that I took a photo out front and center.

Also new in foursquare they've taken a page from FaceBook with their liking features although they're using paths hearts to like something.
