Now to another potential trouble spot for the president this is a surprise Michigan.

The new poll is showing Mitt Romney pulling slightly ahead.

Of President Obama in a state where unions rates of brain think he didn't mind Mitt Romney.

Well -- -- have made against the -- of course it was the president campaigning hard largely on that 85 billion dollar auto bella.

So are the posts magic bus reverberations.

In Wisconsin.

Driving -- and are we gonna see more of it my company's it.

-- I think the president's in trouble in states like Michigan in the upper midwest for the simple reason that people know that the job market is not getting a lot better.

Detroit on the verge of absolute bankruptcy if you've been there lately you know that there are sections of Detroit -- -- utterly been abandoned grass growing higher than rooftops.

It's depressing.

And this is that there really cradle of American industry the part of America this is any rescue -- rescued from well that you didn't somehow.

Keep them out of the water -- they're back and it and you know if I were the Republicans because always -- visuals.

But I would love to do is to send Barack Obama.

A fiddle and say if you're gonna play Nero at least play us a -- as we burned because you seem not to understand it.

Things are not going all rosy and -- out here in the private sector and for him to go to the podium and say that.

Is absurd.

Michigan is a state where no matter what they do.

There's some fundamental structural issues in Michigan that our -- and and overcome their tax base.

The fact that it is a highly unionized workforce.

Those jobs have moved away -- not coming back because if you can move those auto jobs to the south where you don't have unionize workers.

They're still gonna get a great paycheck in the south building cars that they're going to be able to bill that cars for about 15100 dollars less per car in the south.

Just based on health insurance benefits than they would if they stated mission.

You know what's weird about this governor's that this is the week we saw a lot of so called democratic bloc states.

Look like they weren't locks anymore now you just mentioned Michigan.

-- Wisconsin of course -- governor Scott Walker triumph.

We even had a -- of cities in California that repudiated.

Public unions and and heavily endorsed by the case San Jose a democratic -- so.

You know maybe didn't have praising folks -- Michael Reagan say California could be -- play a big lead by Graham.

But the minute changes how does that change the campaign.

One thing the unions have had miscalculated.

Is that they have pushed for additional benefits at a time when they're being cut in the private sector.

And the people in the private sector who are the ones paying for those union benefits for -- public unions in particular are just saying you know that's crazy Chicago is voting.

Whether to go on strike.

You're talking about asking for 30% pay increase is in a in a city where 50% of the kids don't graduate.

And also where the teachers are paid a 100000 dollars a year with salary and benefits private sector people are looking -- and -- that's it we're done.

We you know I was so we -- Wisconsin earlier this week governor the one thing -- ranked drew was the disconnect between what the mainstream media covered.

And what looked like the general crowd.

And I called this the magic bus remember their first -- scooby give us a big topic quickly told me Scooby -- had a van went to Dinah -- Then it was a -- -- best moment when what was amazing about this bus.

When it would dropping below -- would carry demonstrators to and from the town square and in Madison.

Hundreds of people would come out of the six was like the clown car in the and then load him up again put in all seriousness.

They never got the crowds expected -- -- -- and now beginning to wonder.

Where did these massive protests that -- thought to be the stuff of a huge upswing in support -- the president but really there at all.

I don't think so and one of the things it was demoralizing to a lot of -- union people is that the president didn't show up to lift a finger the only finger he lifted.

And and I don't think it was -- little -- but -- but to believe it was it may be one finger and that was to tweet a midnight message saying good luck.

Well you know we -- out there march in the streets and knocking on doors -- the best the president who says he'll stand with you the best he can do was a tweet.

That that's that I should understand is doing politically I stand -- he's just as popular in the state as Governor Walker is -- and we were there.

So if -- -- I don't wanna take off these people right but but you know what it's if he wouldn't be blamed for it not.

Working but he would have been given credit for having stood with the troops even -- the Alamo.

You know had its last moments I think political capital I think differently I understand why you don't go and I realize of political conventional was image you don't -- -- there.

But here's what I think ought to.

Be thrown away is the traditional political.

Conventional wisdom he should have gone for the simple reason.

That even if the outcome was not good he identifies with those folks who are fighting to the last breath.

And he spends a little political capital but I think he encourages troops not necessarily in Wisconsin.

They wouldn't change the outcome but in other states to say he won't forget us what he told -- in Wisconsin which reverberated in places like Michigan -- He will forget -- it's all about him it's not about us.

What are you doing this we get.

We're gonna have a great discussion on all of this issue of the private sector economy we're also talking to Lanny Davis about the leaks coming out of well maybe the White House but they're certainly causing bipartisan.

Angst.

And huge story -- in the Democrats and enough for an attempt -- gets -- tomorrow not debate Saturdays at 8 PM repeats Sunday.

It does that's been ripped slow -- people want to watch it twice as it is can't get enough food doesn't.

Don't they don't know different.

It hit play and record to bluntly that that -- stepped up.

Anyway he didn't mean it is --
