-- this week will likely be remembered as a very rough couple of days for the Democratic Party and its allies in big labor now on Tuesday despite a vicious smear campaign that was waged by the left.
Republican Scott Walker of Wisconsin became the very first governor to survive a recall in American history a Governor Walker will be -- special guest later in the program.
But I'm also joined this evening in studio by an audience of business experts political commentators and others.
And over the course -- the next hour we'll examine the influence that unions have all of our elected representatives.
The dirty tricks that -- used to support left wing politicians.
Now the impact their agenda is having on our public schools and much much more.
And here to help kick things off -- -- in live our studio audience good to see all thank you for being here bright Smart the best and brightest.
In business and politics.
Let's start -- to -- Tea Party member.
On the ground five days in Wisconsin.
All right -- think he Scott Walker ended up with a much bigger margin of victory that he didn't 2010 what was going on on the ground it had nothing to do with Scott Walker or a lack.
-- -- had everything to do Sean with -- what we are the American people are tired of working to feed a union boss and a bureaucrat.
And -- corrupting relationship between the both of -- this is about our children's future and that.
I was on the ground in Wisconsin that's what we talked about and I think that's -- won the day far beyond any election.
See my -- you talk to people on the radio Salem nationally syndicated radio talk show host every single day.
And I have often discussed what I call and unholy alliance between the unions and the Democratic Party how do you describe this quid pro quo.
Because that they they take rank and file money.
They give it the politicians what do the unions get in return for that.
The exciting thing is that it was reported that 38% of union households in Wisconsin supported Scott Walker so the tide is turning in a huge way and and and while I certainly love everything the Jennifer stands for the Tea Party movement.
I do think of it it it it begins and ends with Scott Walker he's the Ronald Reagan.
Of our time against -- I mean this is this is a -- trying to battle an epic victory.
That that -- this guy had the courage to it to two to achieve and so that they QB he emerges is a huge player on the national scene for the GOP.
And and I don't think Barbara you know -- -- strongly says it's the death knell for for proper public.
-- is a death knows well not -- its interest thing to me as I -- two things out of the election.
In Wisconsin won a courageous principled politician that didn't back down didn't -- -- enormous pressure brought to bear on him.
I take that out of -- I also.
I am inspired by the people Wisconsin it seems that fiscal responsibility one the day not special interest once that's rate.
Don't forget Wisconsin is the land of Bob we'll follow it this is a union state progressive movement and arts in Wisconsin it's not just Democrats who are beholden to the -- it's Republicans who were weak kneed and won't stand up to them and Scott Walker I think.
Has so much backbone to spare.
That he may buck up a lot of other Republicans including I hope Mitt Romney.
You see I agree with you I think the message that a sense is that it -- if voters put you win and two it -- institute tough reforms.
That if something happens they were there for him.
Monica what do you think how -- exactly right there that devote Wisconsin showed that.
If you have the back of the taxpayer the taxpayer will have your back when push comes to shove and the -- -- put the screws to to these politicians.
The fact that Scott Walker did not back down the fact that he held to his guns on this.
And protected the taxpayer which.
Has been a novel concept mean mostly Democrats have had this corrupt incestuous relationship with the government sector unions and by the way they are government sector unions.
Not public sector unions we ought to call them by their proper name.
Government sector unions.
These have this incredibly corrupt relationship did in -- with the Democrats.
For decades and what Scott Walker did was slammed the padlock unlike the -- the candy store.
At which both sides have been gorging for decades and of course the unions went bananas but again the taxpayer said.
Finally we have somebody in office who's protecting us and our interests the American taxpayers -- -- we're gonna see it not just in Wisconsin but.
Nationwide and say I agree with you David Limbaugh you just Rosie encyclopedic.
Definitive book it just came out this week on Barack Obama.
Talk about the relationships that he has you know when you go back in his background and social justice and it corn.
Is it all in -- point here.
Yes what he -- this is a class struggling wants to -- labor against business.
That's the great destroyers the Buckeyes shamelessly promote I will agree with my two colleagues on the elitist back row upper -- here.
But I would like to merge.
The merged their two ideals awards they're the ones you wanna take their seats and we distributed is that this time next everybody will be sitting on the top row today with if we can do that next time I believe that I want to merge their two ideas it has to do with both the triumph of Scott Walker.
And a national referendum on Barack Obama people are tired of fiscal irresponsibility Scott Walker said I'm gonna balance this budget I'm gonna get our economy growing.
The democratic machine threatening.
They even stop the legislature they ran out the reason they ran out in Wisconsin is not because their babies -- they lose no they ran out so Obama could community organizer bring his studs in an organized this recall.
Well the lesson here we need to take.
He has -- -- easy watching.
You stand up for principle conservatives conservatism you don't gravel to this same Marcus nonexistent independent senator.
You've become a prison conservative people rally -- because all principled conservatism -- its fiscal responsibility.
Adhering to our values that -- made America great.
-- for terrorism America.
Rugged individualism gold forward stick to your guns and you win -- odds on favorite to win this thing.
The return to a million and committee you off and not a millionaire at nineteen I was like to tell that story.
Business the relationship.
How does big labor impact business from your perspective because -- you are a that you're gonna take over specialists a strong word -- turn around your turnaround specialist okay.
Yeah -- as part of your job is to take companies that are about to go bankrupt.
All the jobs are lost and you when they try and help save the company sells a lot like what Bain Capital -- right Catholic and you bring an infusion of capital into these companies.
How does labor impact your ability to save the company.
It's it's critical it is how companies spun at at the company is not spun by throwing more money at it.
The company spun by bringing people together and say this is the goals and this is a dejected and for all -- that this is the goal can only do one thing at a time and we take it.
Little small chunks at a time and we spin the company very very quickly.
We talk about the unions the unions are counter intuitive of the free market the free market will correct itself if you let it be free.
And what it does is when it's free it shows -- where the demand it in when you see the demand is small business goes in and they capitalized on that demand can if you try to regulate -- and anyway she performed you will have a slow death.
That is the death of the business.
Every single time it's a death of the country we do not live in -- country believe in the global economy.
The union cannot regulate the global economy not now not ever it politically.
Speaking Charles you also study the markets every day it is this election now coming down to Obama -- vision five trillion in debt.
Spread the wealth around it's our patriotic duty is Joseph Biden said.
And fiscal responsibility and capitalism is it socialism cap.
I was glad I'm back and back -- that it's a global war right now and both sides of the Atlantic it's all about doing the right thing you said the word austerity you know -- -- To mean different things but every once -- tests on the most important aspect there's been a general Tiffany by the public.
And and and we've gotten over the guilt trip you know the guilt trip that they can what do you wanna take money from their kids teachers do we want to short change the policeman do we want to shortchange -- and at some point people say listen -- a lot of these civil servants we -- problem.
But we can't still in the nation where the power of the public sector worker makes more than I would make where the pensions are lavishing guaranteed we're the bad workers can't be fired where they get to retire before I do and I -- all of this so there's a general global battle right now between these two forces -- this -- -- this election.
It's so so critical so important because of people choose the way it's been.
Then -- word -- word we're just -- were absolutely.
