Hi everyone I'm meteorologist Mario Molina from the -- -- weather center with the forecast for the northwest.

And also the midwest so we have some moisture lingering out across -- west and temperatures are actually very pleasant for this time of the year into the upper seventies in Portland this afternoon.

74 will be a high temperature and Seattle and 86.

Expected in Medford -- -- -- -- you can -- relatively -- pleasant temperatures as well across Montana 73 degrees.

Where high temperature in Billings and expecting a high at 72 in -- and over in Utah's Salt Lake City -- -- high -- now where it's not so pleasant is out across parts of the midwest we do have some very warm air in place across parts.

Nebraska Kansas even parts of Missouri into just area south of the -- -- Chicago you're gonna be seeing -- -- this afternoon at 88 degrees.

And the reason why so warm out here is because we actually have a cool front that's pressing eastward had a net system we have winds -- -- south Wheeling and some warmer air.

On north where -- he have a one temperatures in place the behind that front much more pleasant lower humidity temperatures.

This afternoon into the mid sixties from Bismarck and also international boss he cannot we see some of those showers and thunderstorms associated with that frontal boundary pushing in portions -- Wisconsin into parts.

Of Iowa and house in Missouri early today we're gonna continue as you know showers and storms.

Pushing on east -- and -- -- northwest some light showers here and there but.

-- activities and really very light and not even making it down into the ground -- Montana few sprinkles.

Here and -- taking a look at feature radar that frontal boundary out across parts of the midwest we'll continue to push eastward and actually produce a slight chance for some severe storms.

Later on stay across parts of the central plains so keep that in mind Oklahoma.

Arkansas and parts of northern Texas could be seeing some strong to severe storms but generally speaking most of the midwest won't be quiet by Tuesday morning casinos showers -- across parts.

A Seattle and also Portland by early Tuesday morning and then on Wednesday.

Much -- -- midwest and also parts of the northwest relatively quiet except for a few showers here and there across eastern portions of Nebraska.
