And you just go home where's all that money go way.

I remember giving money to the Red Cross after Haiti and it turns out they can't really spend -- money because it's so corrupt.

Or does it disappeared as some of the home I always think that before you get but I do think -- again.

Before you can't look at where that money is going.

How you find out it's very easy and -- -- -- -- dot org.

That you look at their tax returns and it's really quite open you know they have to be -- -- the government and so it tells you to get them.

For a -- apart and I 94008.

You know to be able to Canada you know they had clearance and everything to be a charity -- And basically if their monies are going toward salaries or expenses.

You should really give it a big -- I mean.

Apart as a percentage as a percentage thing then Red Cross has salaries of -- -- and and I've seen them an action other days there my first stop because of between 9/11 when I was with them and also.

And hurricane Katrina and a host of other disasters.

They -- -- in those trucks and you get a hot meal they studies I don't know they actually do it and that the problem as some people don't and what does this thing like if you were giving money.

And you were found out that 55 cents out of your dollar was going to pay -- months salary wouldn't be a little bit upset as opposed to you're helping children in Africa what about salaries for these celebrities -- they paid to endorse charities.

A lot of times they are -- -- they aren't but the bigger problem is is that when celebrities and whether it's actually through the goodness of their heart -- our cynicism and ego.

When they say I want my -- it's -- -- I want my own charity with my own name on it as my legacy.

You know and that's great I mean at the end of the day please go help out -- who however it's not as easy as you'd think and I think what does it take.

Takes a staff it takes somebody figuring out what where's the money going you know a lot of people want to cure cancer -- -- cancer.

However you gotta figure out where the money is going to to the right people who are actually curing cancer.

Board to the patients or to the doctors.

And a lot of times -- August well mosques in the fray so why don't we seduced when we see -- celebrity say.

Please help the children okay where many more than anyone else wireless it is certainly -- that celebrities in general they get attention.

In this day and aids it's a celebrity trips on the street that's everywhere.

If day you blocked and the street with a T shirt that says cure cancer -- -- it's a free.

It's a free advertisement for whatever charity they get they get attention so a lot of people hits third wagons.

So this to this -- -- for free.

Free publicity who investigate some Paula who.

Who's watching out to make sure that people who are generous enough to give her not being ripped off you know there are some places like charity -- but it's not a lot of people very.

-- -- I'm really happy to hear her own homework.

I I would say before you take out your wallet.

That you there are a lot of things that -- your heart strings he sees little puppies being you know being abused undated is BCA commercials.

Before you -- -- your wallet do some due diligence and just see where the money is -- it's not that hard you go to the form 990.

And they show you -- -- we have honest charity right.

Honest charity gets 55%.

-- the one campaign 55%.

Of their money.

Two.

Salaries they also spent two point six million dollars in travel expenses.

And it's a lot of money it's really nice travel.

And they say well it's because we're more of a lobbying campaign but that's already you know just look at where the money.

It's going so that's good and here's some folks that are logging on and and chatting about this Stephen Larson says celebrities do -- because they feel guilty about making so much.

It's probably only a a handful of celebrities that are really.

Make me you know why because they have like a team of ten.

Everybody gets a cut I I've -- I've represented celebrities as a lawyer and sometimes there's very little left at the end but also David.

You know we all try to do our best to help out and it's good -- -- -- help however give -- -- get situations.

Where.

You -- a charity -- hire a celebrity maybe they're not getting paid however.

Or maybe they're you know who knows.

However it costs as Terry a 100000 dollars for hair make up big server and -- This is from wildcat only very few celebrities have an opinion that I respect it seems it's liberties to speak out on almost everything now in Charles -- I really don't care.

For celebrity charity -- did the people in Haiti ever see a dollar from the charity that raised nearly a billion and that's what -- you have said has happened.

Does a Better Business Bureau get involved at all in any of this for you US charities the Better Business -- actually has guidelines and they actually recommend that -- -- at least 65%.

Of what they collect on.

-- -- You know so if you're saying I wanna build houses for Katrina like Brad Pitt that you should spend.

65%.
