Hi everyone I'm meteorologist Maria Molina from the box extreme weather center with your forecast for the southern plains as well as a southwest and it is going to be another oppressively hot day out across.
The state of Texas yesterday a lot of you guys some highs in two the triple digits you factor in the humidity is having guys felt like -- 115 degrees as a head out the door.
Today won't be as hot for some of you guys let's say for instance Oklahoma and also has Texas Panhandle were high temperatures will be dipping down into the eighties.
But still relatively warm out especially across southern parts of the state of Texas like Brownsville.
We -- expecting high temperature at 9795.
Over in San Antonio.
And 101 will be -- high temperature in the city of El Paso and again when you factor in the humidity.
It feels a lot hotter as you head out the door so grab the water -- of -- headed outdoors and try not to be outdoors.
For too long of a period of time when you sight to see heat index values -- -- hundred degrees.
As we head -- much warmer day out today in Las Vegas -- one Althorp where high temperature yesterday -- only into the ninety's.
107 will be high temperature in Phoenix and 104 in Tucson so we're seeing that out warming trend.
-- across portions of of those southwest as well California very pleasant high temperature at 73 in the city of San Francisco.
And also Los Angeles as far as rainfall goes we will be seeing some of that across parts of the center of the country and somebody storm is that we're gonna get.
Could actually produce some severe weather across parts of northern Texas up into Oklahoma Kansas and Nebraska -- as -- -- later on this afternoon.
And also this evening and -- already seeing some of that slight chance for severe storms.
Early this morning across portions of Louisiana and also Arkansas but again you're gonna see another round of that firing up.
Later on today across parts of the central plains southwest still no -- in store for you guys across Lisa -- drought stricken areas across the four corners.
Take a look at feature radar nine me and Wednesday still dry across the southwest.
Texas relatively quiet with a few showers lingering around the city of Dallas and then as we head into your Thursday morning more showers across portions of the Texas Panhandle.
The dry across the four corners -- that and also California.
