Hi everyone I'm Diane -- and this is -- extra today we'll be taking an inside look.

Added business that's been a family owned brand for five generations and it's still growing strong.

Omaha steaks owner and SBP Todd Simon is here to tell us all about how they've done it and Todd thanks so much.

For joining us -- all us states has weathered some highs and lows in turn.

-- of the economy what are some of the secrets or tips that you give out to countries that companies trying to do the same.

Why I think go when the economy is down that's a good time to really focus your business.

On what you do best and what's most important to your customers and they tell us about some of the marketing strategies that you change through all those different generations and we were talking about so we started out as a custom butcher shop.

And over the years we've evolved it's the largest direct marketer stakes in other gourmet foods.

And the way -- done that is by riding the waves of the different marketing trends so we started doing mass marketing in the sixties.

We started we -- one of the first companies have an 800 number and call center in -- mid sixties.

And then of course we embrace the Internet.

In the ninety's in here we are today so what advice would you give other companies sort of trying to -- in your footsteps trying to either grow or continue a family on business.

I think one of the most important things especially for -- family business is to treat your customers.

And your employees -- family it's something that were able to do because we're family business so we really care in a different kind of way.

You know that everybody wants to be treated like they keep their ever -- because I -- that.

-- sentenced stakes though aren't the only part of what you guys do now talk to me a little bit about the process of branching out and what else the companies involved -- now.

So over the years we've -- listen to our customers and they've gotten very comfortable with the great steaks we provide and they said -- why don't you sell some chicken or what did you sell some -- and didn't.

So -- actually become the largest direct marketer of seafood we have a new brand called world port where -- marketing our seafood today.

And we also sell a complete line of poultry land deal appetizers desserts side dishes everything you need to make a complete delicious meal -- And just looking at half of these things is making me Salave'a as we stand here and we speak.
