Hi everyone I'm meteorologist Maria -- -- -- in the fox extreme weather center with your forecast for the southern plains as well as -- southwest and today's going to be another vary hot day out across parts.

Southern Texas -- in El Paso where you're looking at triple digit high temperatures expected this afternoon one -- three over there El Paso.

95 will be a high temperature in San Antonio and in Brownsville and just shy of the triple digits.

Where were expecting a high temperature at 97 degrees and -- issue is in just how hot it is on the thermometer but when you factor and a little bit of humidity from the Gulf of Mexico out here.

Then you're looking at triple digit heat index values across southern parts of Texas anywhere between five to ten degrees above.

Where the actual temperature is has -- -- -- even hotter you really gonna need to grab that bottle water if you're headed -- -- for prolonged period of time and you really should be doing that when he gets that hot out.

Otherwise as we head into the desert southwest hot as well -- triple digits from Vegas -- -- Phoenix and Tucson.

-- -- a little bit more pleasant with a high temperature expected at 83.

-- across California 71 will be your high temperature in Los Angeles -- beautiful day out there expected.

And we're also gonna -- generally dry across California Nevada four corners region.

But we do need that moisture across a four -- -- with all of those wildfires that have been going on won't be really looking -- much.

In the -- of rainfall out there otherwise Texas Oklahoma we do have some showers and storms rolling through portions of the city of Dallas that disturbance we'll continue tracking eastward.

But we could see another round a spotty showers and thunderstorms firing up across the Dallas area and once again.

Southern parts of Oklahoma by early Thursday morning so it will be a slow morning commute for you guys.
