This is breaking news situation right now there's a hospital that is on lockdown.
After a deadly shooting and Laura Ingle is following this story -- By -- well what's the latest hi mark that we are just getting word of this locked down and we're getting network from the Associated Press.
That police have cornered off this hospital that we're looking at here this is the Erie county medical center where a person.
-- reportedly been fatally shot a police spokesperson says the medical center is completely locked down no one is going in no one is coming out.
A swat team now on the scene after reports.
Of these shots being fired local media reporting this hour that it was a woman who was shot to death.
At the hospital around 8:15 this morning we're now hearing it may have happened inside of a building that houses outpatient services.
And offices.
We understand that this was away from the main building but as you can see a very hectic scene right now the shooter.
We've been told remains at large this is a 65 acre campus a 400 patients at any given time.
Overall over 2000 employees.
I'll work at this hospital unclear how many people are there now at least over a thousand from what we've been told.
We've been hearing from a couple of the hospital spokespeople there who have come out to say that they do have plans for disasters.
They have great confidence of the people they have trained.
For these types of emergencies but of course a very scary situation -- Erie county medical center complete lockdown no one is going you know what is going out as they look for a shooter who is out large who has reportedly shot at least one person -- person is debt that's scary and volatile situation right now thank you -- we'll bring it on top of that.
