Well here he comes up -- United States set to arrive in New York City later this hour -- on it -- off his big economic speech in Ohio today.
And a call for more spending today.
Let's double down on the playing better bit afraid that has never been more promising.
We also have to invest more in education and training now's the time to rebuild America.
But is the president at at odds with the two very governors he is about to meet.
Welcome everybody I'm Neil Cavuto and good thing it's really just to meet and greet because this could get all word.
And -- the -- would -- who don't share his standing up.
-- a Democrat Andrew -- looking to cut spending in his state for the first time in fifteen years.
Something new Jersey Republican Chris Christie's been doing in New Jersey now for -- a few years to.
Republican governor Bobby Jindal -- says states are making the tough decisions it is the president.
Who is not governor very good to have you what do you make of that -- again that's -- to double down on the on the spending message.
-- -- thank you for having me.
Very disappointing speech he could deliver this speech in France amid the one thing the president was right about is that.
This is -- on election night to clear choices.
We can either go the European way or the American way we got to grow government -- grow the private sector.
Or so just pointless to hear the president talk about the need for even more government spending.
You don't get a very clever phrasing there he talked about engaging in some nation building at home to great political phrase but it's very revealing what it shows -- This president pres Obama continues to believe that government is -- source of our prosperity.
He couldn't be more wrong governor's been successful here in Louisiana we've cut spending 26% the government got more people working than not pay any point our State's history.
Look at what president Obama's presided over he's been present over three years over half a million fewer Americans working when he took office unemployment of over 8%.
For forty straight months you looked at median income for families -- visited two -- media network for our families to decade -- you look at wages they haven't grown incomes have gone down.
He had presided over an economic disaster you literally cannot ask people are you better off than you were four years ago.
So instead of talking about his record instead he has to just attack the governor -- and instead.
Yes trying to distract us with this class warfare for years -- -- -- Express and today lots Iran and Iraq I mean they must have their own tracking balls I guess both sides are these.
In -- -- Nancy.
You know advisors and the rest it must be saying this polls well this populist appeal.
Polls well and and certainly would that -- obvious and an awful partisan -- -- grid -- has it would be it had it to Mitt Romney's event I guess.
Property they are date date field that we do need no more spending your -- saying we've reached the point where we just can't do.
That that's exactly right and it looks certainly got a lot of great political lines in this baseball was so disappointing in addition of the substance the speech which again.
Government 4024% of our economy -- high when you look at norms post World War II.
He's talking now barring more money from China to grow government at the expense of the private sector but was even more disappointing than substance was -- home.
Yet the president that the leader of the free world blaming everybody for the mess that we are in today.
It's not very presidential Harry Truman would have recognizes he understands that being president means that you're in charge you've got to take responsibility.
Sound like to me like pres -- trying to run against President Bush he's eight years too late for that -- he needs to be talking up the future not the past.
The it was very disappointing you listen that -- you remember two years ago this very spot President Clinton said give us two more years -- -- fix this problem goes out of office.
Forty years ago three years ago three and a half years ago -- on -- -- said look I'm gonna fix this at the end of four years otherwise I'll be a one term president.
He promised to cut the deficit in half -- -- that -- to get unemployment -- percent hadn't done that promised to present a plan to reform entitlement programs he hasn't done that either.
Made a lot of promises a yes and kept -- right there there was a lot of politically popular rhetoric you know.
Little lady Nancy and Harry Truman I mean Harry Truman of course -- -- 94 data -- -- do nothing congress and that obviously worked for him of course now it's not quite the same because.
There's only one.
A branch of of the legislative.
It govern that pits and the other party's control but but having said that I I I'm wondering.
Whether.
Republicans.
Risk.
Getting sidelined as being sort of the -- anti common man -- I think that's part of what was in the president's message today.
I'd raise this issue when I talk to your -- -- -- of Wisconsin Scott Walker on the day of the recall.
And he says that the president is missing a bigger theme here.
And and that that he has a ten -- it's of these underlying developments that taxpayers -- enough what do you think gonna.
I think that the Scott Walker is exactly right I think that look president Obama's trying to devise -- by gender by race by economic until he'll try to -- -- -- can't win this election.
Governor Ronnie listen what he had to say.
Describing an -- racial society would love -- we as Americans we don't wanna European socialist type government we believe that our kids can do better than we did they work hard.
We know their last names that their circumstances -- don't determine their outcomes as adults.
We believe it and aspiration is -- -- governor Ronnie provided a positive contrasting message today.
Talked about on the first day as president he's gonna prove that Keystone Pipeline he said he go build himself creating a 100000 jobs by the way -- -- repeal obamacare he said that also -- gonna go back and review all those government regulations nearly ten new regulations every day.
By the way SBA is estimated every when you look at the cost of regulations 101000 -- for manufacturing job in this country's one of the reasons.
Jobs -- gonna go overseas governor Ronnie talked about lowering flattening the tax code we now have the highest corporate tax rate in the industrialized world filled with loopholes.
Pres Obama continues to support cronies style capitalism supporting Solyndra and companies like that you heard today he wanted to double down on special government.
-- state governor and your -- you've got all this stuff down I guess the bigger question for me when I stepped back from this governing your.
Much were closely attuned and up on this stuff and I am but I.
I think it's gonna be a choice between more government relies that is the comes down to that you wanna tape for more governor don't -- and end up.
You make a very compelling argument for -- Easing that up a bit on that was a lot of Mitt Romney's critics say he has not.
And as effectively closed that argument how do you think he should do so.
-- -- I did think he's doing a great job provide -- contrast I think you're exactly right this election is about to.
Very different directions for America it's not about personalities.
Who looks good on TV who gives the best speech is -- two very different visions we have a larger federal more expensive federal government.
That -- our daily lives that spends record amounts of money and mortgages our children's future and that's what we've seen under pres Obama trillion dollar plus deficits every year.
Fifteen trillion dollars accumulated debt.
Record setting levels of debt compared to GDP for peace times.
Vs governor Ronnie when he was governor Massachusetts.
Unemployment -- the national average per capita income grew faster than the national average top ten states in terms of turning around the economy so.
He's got different vision for America he's got a much better track record.
Pres Obama can't ask the American people are you better off than you were four years ago.
Can't run on his track record he's gonna have to try to distract this divide is he's -- try to shift blame everybody but himself.
The American people are smarter than that we want a real leader we want some you understand we live -- an aspiration a society we want our children have a better quality of life than we've done.
Listen this over half of a -- American college kids is they're graduating are now unemployed or underemployed 23 million American is unemployed or underemployed.
This is now the new normal under pres Obama we the American people know the private sector is not fine despite what the president says we know this is not a recovery.
We know we can do better he's had three and a half years.
He he has been present at stake this time from the stop blaming others and admit his policies haven't worked in studies doubling down on more government spending.
We'll governor wanna take a lead here put you down as -- no on the president -- That.
-- yeah it's always good seeing you sir thank you very very much governor Bobby Jindal all right --
