Adam Clayton Morris of fox -- take this week -- wanna talks about the brand new MacBook Pro the fifteen inch Retina Display model that apple just rolled out.
After worldwide developers conference out there in San Francisco this week.
Let's dive in and take a look at some.
First let's talk about the form factor of the MacBook Pro this is essentially replacing the seventeen inch MacBook Pro.
So it is still big but it's certainly thinner.
-- it looks comparable to the MacBook Air line you can see my finger on the side here to give you some sense of perspective.
It is about a pound heavier than the current MacBook airs this is about four and a half pounds.
And the configuration is different so gone is the firewire port and also gone now -- the ethernet ports are just too high.
So we've got a new MagSafe to -- spot and two thunderbolt ports.
And a USB two and USB three built into the same port that's on one side on the other side you'll notice another USB port.
Plus an HDMI port this is the first apple laptop to have an HDMI port.
And an SD card slot similar to the seventeen inch MacBook Pro.
-- keynote this week there was a lot of applause from developers because apple managed to quiet the -- in technology in new laptop.
It's kind of geeky but what they did was they created a symmetrical blades on the fans.
So that instead of high -- sound you're getting from the fans are getting a consistent low sound to your ears can even hear it.
Is great for audio editing especially on -- MacBook Pro of course all of the talk about the new MacBook Pro is around the Retina Display it is by far and away the best display of any laptop ever made.
That's saying a lot let's take a look.
Let me say right up front you're probably watching this on your computer.
Which the display is not going to look like this display so therefore you really need to see it in person.
But this gives you a sense of how crisp and beautiful this screen really is.
Colors on the screen render better than on any screen I've ever seen and look how -- the text is here.
This screen -- 2880.
By 18100.
It's over five million pixels on the screen which is a fifteen point four inch display screen.
There is one problem with this display and it's not Apple's fault it's the rest of the web right now.
Which is that lot of people who upload high resolution images to their web sites so the rest of the Internet is not going to look.
As crisp and clean as some of the apps that apple has made written -- ready like iPhoto imovie and maybe.
There you go there's a look at the MacBook Pro with Retina Display from apple the price tag is 219.
So the price tag -- Steve but it is behind and apple laptop at this point.
And all of the other laptops in their lineup to get a speed increased to so those are still available if you have any questions you can always find me on Twitter at Clayton Morris.
We'll see you next time.
