Can you assure -- that -- The White House and you lose your -- not take someone fires have.

But what has.

Someone asked what is the White House and overall reaction.

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Wrong answer he got an internal investigation why -- the whole process of resolving these issues at play -- and Serge throw this forward.

Could it be getting tougher for white house Press Secretary Jay Carney.

To spin the news in favor of President Obama -- you got a feel for the -- Erica expect a whole.

Loaded questions like that at that than White House briefing on Monday and and the reporters just wouldn't let they wouldn't and they didn't let up all week.

And this is also -- change.

With president Obama's speech in Cleveland.

And in a complete man bites dog that is to say it's newsworthy and spin turnaround.

The liberal media.

Clobbered the president and I know I'm have a hard time hearing the -- -- But when you see Jonathan Alter and Joseph Klein and Dana Milbank and Melinda -- -- all pounding away on that speech.

That -- called it a falsehood wrapped in a fallacy.

That's a pretty tough week Jonathan Alter said it was one of the worst he's hurt.

Yeah.

And interestingly.

Mickey -- who writes for the daily caller citing a blogger named Richard -- field out in LA.

So this is is really a phenomenon of Twitter you said that look what's happening now is when you do the same old speech over and over -- same -- stuff.

The media are so bored with it that he -- with the kind of like you they nonetheless turned up because they're just want something new to do it zones -- -- simply rehash the same old stuff.

Jay -- challenged reporters to put all of this in context but who is minding the context I mean who who gives a definition.

Well the media decide the context clearly and -- Jay Carney was unhappy about their definition of -- this week.

But you know I don't know whether the reporters say they're -- picture what was going on back.

There -- they were acting like reporters that's what they're supposed to be doing asking the tough questions and for mr.

Carney just came -- -- this week.

The president when he made that the private sector is doing fine remark it was described as a gaffe and in fact he even seemed to season in that clip we played its top -- program.

Is that kind of an easy out for what it was and what he meant.

Well that's the question the question is do it wasn't a gaffe where he just meant to say that as compared to the -- the public sector it's doing fine.

Or is a -- President Obama thinks about the o'clock economy and so.

It it's -- depending on where you're sitting in my have a different perspective on that.

But when ever a politician makes a -- there are always saying -- the context the context of contacts but.

Look it's not the the media's job to clean up his -- so the idea that -- -- being told.

You know why aren't you fixing this well that's not really their job.

I actually think the context was worse for this White House if you look at the context this -- -- gaffe for gaffe is when the president says polish death camp.

That's -- -- we know he didn't mean that.

But in this context where the economy is fine if you read the whole context he actually doubles down on this philosophical bent argument that.

Mayors and governors are to blame and that the economy he gets statistics he says the economy is four point three million jobs 800000.

This year alone.

This was not a -- this was a well thought out.

Contextual.

Argument that the private sector is fine in the public sectors what needs to grow and.

I think.

Because of as a point that is -- the context and -- immediately was Paul Krugman.

Who's been saying this every day for three years now that the public sector -- be pumped up with more money and more deficits and suspending and -- once again.

If if you're reading the New York Times like every in the Obama White -- you're getting a daily dose of it's the public sector that shrinking tragically because we're not spending enough on government.

He made the point on Friday in fact in his Friday count but I think that the issue is the president probably didn't mean to suggest that line was a gap and the -- just gave.

The opponents just -- perfect line to make him look like it's out of -- Should we also saw a first in the media this week ticket and take a look.

In Washington today attorney general Eric Holder took heavy fire from Republican critics and a senate hearing.

And calls for his resignation are growing louder but Democrats contend it's all about politics in an election season.

Why is that noteworthy because after months of coverage on Fox News Channel and other outlets that was the first mention of fast and furious by NBC nightly news race.

I mean it's really remarkable right I mean this is -- a story that's been out there for a very long time.

And the mainstream media just has not covered -- they view this as a partisan.

Issue.

And it's really been remarkable and I think NBC admitted this week that they are behind the story.

Texas senator John Cornyn announced this week he wants holder to resign now he's not normally considered a bombs or or even among Republicans in the senate but.

It barely got any -- -- -- -- -- request I think this is a partisan witch hunt but that doesn't -- that doesn't mean that the media shouldn't be covering -- Valerie Plame investigation with the partisan -- content they covered that in fact they covered it quite enthusiastically as he.

He's got a head out I -- now -- -- no idea that there's so disinterested and that's when it is something that that has been going on in and gets a lot of attention in the conservative media.

And and even at the Daily -- I write it actually covered it quite a lot and that the -- media has mostly ignored this problem.

And then under the heading of coincidence or -- media manipulation we have this time magazine ran its cover story called we are Americans.

Only we are.

Just not legal.

The New York Times on Sunday ran the story on frustrated Hispanic the frustrated Hispanic electorate.

And then on Friday came -- surprise announcement that the Department of Justice is going to ease up.

On -- -- on deporting.

The illegal.

Immigrant children are young people are prospering in this country's at any coincidence.

-- -- -- I.

I think clearly everything that the president dies from this point on the effects as a Hispanic community is going to be seen in a political -- Whether or not it is the right thing to do which in the sense -- Think the answer questions whether the New York Times and time magazine had an inkling that maybe the president was me doing this and they wanted to get ahead of the story and help to get credit for being part of that that is -- -- question -- I don't think that they would have reported that they had an inkling I actually I think I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have reported it because they wanted the -- -- one -- they would wanted to blow up their own story -- they say that if they get -- -- from their friend Eric Holder Axelrod and his people -- administration isn't -- good.

Big they want to be part of it and one -- the story that they got left they've got the serve and I think now they get credit for having impact they can say we're moving the needle.

As a former spokesman who used to brief reporters right before announcements I can tell you unequivocally.

Someone brief time and the New York Times to say this announcement is coming if you can hold -- tell a certain time will give you access.

That's how it works in this in this case absolutely have a tough happen.
