The defense has begun its questioning in the sex abuse trial against the four Penn state university coach Jerry sandusky.

And now the judge says that he expects the jury to start deliberating.

As early as this Thursday.

With those jurors will be sequestered as they try to reach a verdict in the judge told them to pack appropriately.

We're waiting to hear whether Jerry sandusky will take the stand in his own defense he's accused of molesting ten boys over a period of fifteen years.

Earlier today the mother of one accuser broke down on the stand.

When prosecutors asked her whether she ever talked to -- -- about the encounters with troops and -- the mother said she never directly asked her son about the allegations.

Last week on the stand that accuser said -- and -- forced him into multiple times.

Into a sexual assault in the basement of former coach's home.

The accuser said sometimes he screened.

But he thought the basement with sound proof.

The former assistant coach of the issue says that he has showered and quote forced around unquote with children.

But he denies he ever abused any children.

David Lee Miller is outside the courthouse for us this afternoon who testified for the to.

-- today deal have.

-- -- in the last few hours we heard from six witnesses for the defense all of them essentially.

Witnesses who talked about Jerry sandusky is character let me tell you about one in particular one testified -- -- his -- Richard Anderson.

He describes -- as a longtime friend of -- and does he said he was a former coach at Penn State and he told the jury that Jerry sandusky had a great reputation.

He also said that the job of coaches are very demanding one and slept very little time for Jerry sandusky to socialize with young boys.

And lastly shepherd and very curious thing happened just a few moments ago I was talking to.

One of the attorneys for one of the alleged victims -- were in mid conversation.

When he was served a subpoena by the defense.

He's been told that.

Being subpoenaed to produce records -- -- -- arrangement with his client the purpose there the defense still wants to show that the alleged victims here.

Are conspiring together to file civil suits and to make money.

And then all these planes are fabrications to advertisers think we'll what's the word on whether -- coach Sam does he will testify -- his own defense that we have anything yet.

It's it's unlikely but still possible you know at the start of this trial.

His defense attorney told the jury you -- going to hear from -- -- dusty.

We didn't elaborate a lot of people to death to mean Jerry sandusky was gonna testified well maybe we're just gonna give Jerry sandusky.

From videotape and in letters because a few moments ago before court ended for the day.

The judge that announce that he expects.

The deliberations to begin no later than Friday morning here if you do the math that leaves just really Tuesday and Wednesday.

Forests and -- to be.

Examined as a witness and -- cross examined by the prosecution and many courtroom observers say that's simply not going to be enough time.

Saying -- he would -- on the the witness stand for probably several days.

So it's highly unlikely but still possible.

He is going to testify exactly about the defense is planning we still do not know.

Send -- his wife.

She might be called as a witness as well as relatives of Joseph Paterno -- this one we're gonna have -- we'd see.

-- David Lee Miller live at the courthouse -- David Lee thanks as -- the legal panel on this Fox News senior judicial analyst has -- -- -- always with us as of the criminal defense attorney ratings don't judge.

Did you see that -- -- -- interview with Bob Costas on NBC the bid if if his defense -- saw that.

My guess is they might hesitate.

To have him testify well Acosta Susan great TV -- but it's not it's not a prosecutor demolished Jerry -- just and the questions that he had that he that he put him.

And that will be a very good indicator.

Of just a very small percentage what would happen to him on the witness stand on the other hand.

All of that horrific.

Absolutely unforgettable.

Vividly detailed violent.

Evidence evidence of violence against him.

-- -- -- Is unchallenged.

And therefore will produce a very very quick I think guilty verdict so this is what -- being weighed in the lawyers' minds and didn't send us his mind as they decide probably tonight.

Whether or not to put him on the stand tomorrow they've they've been prosecution rested on -- on Thursday of last week they took Friday off.

-- -- -- a little bit -- on Friday -- offense began today.

The defense will finish by Wednesday according to judge with closings.

By the lawyers for both sides on Thursday what's the defense trying to accomplish in the interim -- specifically.

Well let's take one step back because that's schedule is a fluid schedule and -- can always change her shirt but here's the critical thing.

You -- -- you aptly note all of that the vivid to graphic to horrific.

There's only one problem.

It's not corroborated.

Where is the janitor who saw this he didn't testify where -- the underwear no underwear where was the child victim the mother.

At some level you have to give a jury credit we saw in the John Edwards case -- -- said wait a minute.

He didn't get the money don't be surprised if you have one -- thinking the same thing horrific allegations I need and then.

Then it's -- if if there is a plan now for civil suits.

The subpoena was just issued would that be admissible for these proceedings.

-- -- to the jury know they're trying to make money off that yes yes does that add some judges will permit that and because it does undermine the credibility.

Of those couple were complaining not the fact that they're silly.

There -- it because they have a right to so there were have to be something more there.

The what have to be some -- -- ration.

Some collaboration excuse me some tailoring testimony.

In order to go to enhance the the civil suit.

The existence of the civil suit itself.

Doesn't damage that are that it might give us damaged in testimony at all what we know that.

Authorities at Penn State and with the NCAA and -- college boards are waiting until this is over with.

Was -- -- trial is over with before they.

Decide what to do if anything about Penn State and its institutional control up Penn State's gonna pay out a lot of money it's gonna do it right away it's gonna do it for humanitarian reasons doesn't want his kids have to testify.

It's going to do it for its own selfish reasons it wants to.

Turn the page and move to the next phase of its history it doesn't want this thing hanging around any longer than estimate you know I'm sure it doesn't.

Too long ready for that for its purposes -- judge thinks.
