Do not know Roger Clemens was -- diseases or anyone else but he has been exonerated and found not guilty on old six counts facing him about lying to congress.

Are either covered up obstructing justice over his alleged drug -- of the poor performance enhancing drugs we're learning now from our producer on the scene at the Justice Department.

That Clemens has been found not guilty on old.

Six.

Counts.

Do we have the judge available we hope to get -- -- -- -- very shortly.

But at issue here.

It was whether he had lied to congress about this and what some interpreted to be at the time a couple of years back I -- report kangaroo court proceeding.

Where anything he said or did was ultimately going to be used against him anyway.

And sure enough a lot of prosecutors seized on his saying that he had never used performance enhancing drugs as something.

That would come back to bite him and they built a case around it and six the individual -- that all were essentially on the same area.

Lying to congress obstructing getting to the bottom of this obstruction of justice.

And ultimately for Clemens whether he had misrepresented himself.

Not so much again on the issue -- even use these drugs that is still.

Open for debate of the part of baseball lore as we speak even to this day.

But Clemens had insisted all along to -- at a -- anyone.

And that he did nothing wrong said nothing wrong and this of course -- at a time when a former trainer.

Who looked kind of flaky in this whole process have raised doubts not only about corroborating this information but whether it -- and it was even remotely accurate or reliable and keep in mind as our legal Eagles were just saying here.

When you had six different counts each one must be unanimously agreed to buy.

All jurors present and that was pretty much the issue with John Edwards apples and oranges though it may be the issue was.

Could the jury find a unanimous reading on all those counts degenerative -- -- joining me right now.

Judge your quick reaction to this.

Well I agree with Dan Mitchell was -- with you a few minutes ago.

-- that Roger Clemens shouldn't have been prosecuted for this.

Quite frankly it's none of the government's business what the contents of his blood was to remember this is the second trial.

The first trial was a mistrial after the government introduced evidence that the court had excluded this is the second trial.

So not only has the taxpayer spent about three million dollars prosecuting this -- Roger Clemens is not about the same defending it.

I believe it's a just result as a Yankee fan I'm happy about the result.

But as a taxpayer I'm not happy with the waste of government time and money.

In pursuing something as insignificant as this.

Rebecca rose woodland and that's emerald are back with me -- your take -- Well you know there is really not a lot of evidence there except for the fact that he was accused of lying to congress how to pay back that -- on.

It's a big victory in baseball because now you are saying to two baseball and baseball players.

These are two separate issues -- at all and the issues of baseball and how you regulate.

The -- south.

I thought so I said jurors are not going to get involved in someone's personal life in in Major League Baseball.

They said we don't want to be part of this how do we know what this -- need the only witness who could.

Conclusively say I injected -- Roger Clemens.

And it means we wasted so much time and -- judge in a -- -- -- Taxpayer money going for -- for perjury on the substance charged for steroids come on we have other things to spend money on not this.

-- -- outside the courthouse Steve what do you tell us.

All gone well I can tell you from our producer inside we've just gotten word that Roger Clemens is not guilty on all counts all six counts against him.

-- obstruction of congress of lying to congress.

And of perjury so this is a great day for Roger Clemens one of the greatest baseball players of all time a bad day for prosecutors here in Washington DC.

In the federal court system because as you know they try this case once last summer and got a mistrial.

Because of prosecutorial misconduct they came back again the jury deliberated over the past several days beginning last Tuesday then took a few days break.

Came back and resume deliberations today a jury of eight women and four men and they decided Roger Clemens is not guilty all of the six federal counts against him.

All right guys thank you all very much again to keep you posted on this a jury.

This is a Roger Clemens who remains arguably one of the greatest pitchers of all time.

Will not be facing jail time whether or not he used performance enhancing drugs will always be a subject of great -- and debate but whether he lied about it now at least in the eyes of a jury in Washington is not.

Not guilty all six counts more to.
