The red White House the Democratic National Committee -- communication director you're in a buzz as we speak.

And there is a -- -- going on and what's the correlation between the Obama bus tour and the -- -- -- to.

Well so yeah we we went out ahead of Mitt Romney on store that we called Romney economics.

The middle class under the bus and what we've done is we've gone either stopping dead or in most cases that -- had.

Of all of -- stops really to spread the message about.

You'd you know what that what we're talking about how it finished 47 out of it -- jobs about what he did it -- -- -- get the private sector that.

Ruined communities and companies people's lives and just making sure -- we're getting the message out about you know what we think about -- economic.

Also he hiked taxes and fees by about 750.

Million dollars a year.

This is not gotten much attention in the press.

Well and and and we've read it every one of the -- stops that we've done we've had.

People from Massachusetts school teachers superintendent of schools.

State that are state representatives they all said the same things that you know Mitt Romney came the end.

-- provided 75 million dollars in tax cuts for the 278.

Wealthiest families.

But he ready -- is about 750 million dollars.

On everyone else.

And you know he says it rates actually rates fees but I think it was I don't know -- that it would fit the job indicate that -- bit 2008 you know whether you call it.

You know you can call it a banana.

It's still coming out here pocketed -- -- maybe it was on licenses than.

You know even blind people at the box card attesting to the fact that they -- -- the -- it was it was.

Unbelievable is not gotta -- the -- I it's amazing to me that also the -- not called him on the idea that he is running.

On vain but he's not running on his record as governor of Massachusetts.

Well that and that's been we're trying to bring a lot of it's -- you know the campaign.

Have to add that bond -- that the matter adds up on this right now something that we've been.

I think we've been talking about I mean.

You you can listen to what this -- it is on a given day and you would not.

That he had served as governor of Massachusetts mean one thing that he did that generally was successful was.

Health reform there and he doesn't want any part of that the good debate doesn't like it but -- he he did not do the things he promised you that he was -- a great job.

He finished 47 out of fifty unemployment rate there.

Was above the national average.

From the time he started so that.

That he left and -- Brady any raise taxes mean he was just you know that these people said it here.

-- that really true before -- receivers they are running for president so I guess -- records kind of speaks for itself.

We don't read what has a Democratic National Committee communications director also the issue of teachers firefighters.

And police officers and is very cavalier attitude.

As if we could lose a bunch of of -- he wouldn't really care about.

Well and that's and that's right and you know we had.

On this trip we have that we had feature -- the bad from some of the local where you've had firefighters.

And yet these people the background of our communities and you know Mitt Romney just -- say that we don't need are more teachers firefighters and police.

To demonstrate that he opposes the president's jobs plan.

It did this same thing in Massachusetts in his first year.

-- he cut about 151000 public sector jobs -- most of those.

You know we all think we can I know government -- -- most of those were -- areas of education.

And and public safety and they.

-- sometime down I think that Mitt -- -- more goods that of them being counter did he is -- is the leader -- the being camera.

-- for the 1%.

-- -- set where he would cut he also said with Bob Schieffer on CBS.

Yesterday on face the nation on five different occasions he avoided answering.

Whether or not he agreed with president Obama's immigration stance and so -- -- political rope a -- he's not saying what he would do if he were elected.

Well -- that's exactly right and I think what you can and as soon need to do based on some of the companies kept this weekend.

Is that -- he would be a rubber stamp.

Four Republicans in congress -- -- be a rubber -- for John Boehner and and Paul -- he'd be rubber stamp for that budget that.

Gets rid of Medicare as we as we know it.

Because we know one -- in this campaign Mitt -- not a leader if not someone that'll tell you what he wants do and stand by it he avoid that.

At all also what we do in in the White House you just have to follow what the Republicans held that.

Why do you think the polls aren't more favorable right now -- -- prison Obama.

Well you know look I think -- -- -- you know we faced difficult.

The economy's.

Coming back but it's not.

You know it's not where we want it I think also there's.

The the challenger gets a little bit of open afterglow.

After getting -- after getting the nomination it looked.

There were millions of -- -- bit during the nominating process on the Republican side bit.

In -- -- -- President Obama but is.

You know his numbers are are strong in a number of swing states and you know most of the projections have him up in the proposed electoral college and -- we know this is going to be close a close race.

-- but the president is.

Taking courageous actions of this country for -- courageous action on immigration last week you done it.

You know previously on health care the the auto rescue the the Recovery Act and you know I've seen a single courageous thing and Mitt Romney's DNA and entire campaign.

How concerned -- you that the base that was there and 2008 may not be there in is great numbers this time around.

Well I yeah I think -- I think that they will be in fact I think that this is going to be as much as anything it's going to be an election where turnout debate is this is the key and that's what.

It you know that's what both sides are gonna concentrate on it's probably -- -- -- little more.

Like 2004 than it than it was that was 2008 which I think is probably the model for incumbent.

Incumbent reelection.

But I think people enthusiastic I mean we've had.

On this little bus to work hours you know we've had great crowds enthusiastic crowd the president has got a great reception boarder around the country we've got.

Small dollar donors -- Coming at us from all over the place and -- -- really good about.

The excitement is getting that this data generated and you know it got a 140 days ago so it's gonna wrap up people.

It your sense -- of what's happening in this news cycle is not that important in the long term.

In terms of the focus of the average voter.

Well I I think it you know I think those voters do bogus -- -- -- mentioned after the convention but.

I think that what we're doing.

You know I think it is -- it is important to define.

Is Mitt Romney has -- mean one thing both campaigns know based on every bit of available evidence did.

You know you see in the public hoping that -- Mitt Romney is still not beside him you know there is.

Part of this is a race to define Mitt Romney.

And and we're we're certainly get -- do our part to do that because we think.

What -- the entire career shows is that.

Mitt Romney's principal priority.

Is Mitt Romney and people like it.

The grand jury that must drive that he had a couple of states to go -- there but thank you very much talking who was.

And given us an update tonight.

Great thank you and -- -- --
