-- clothes and my son was the person that believed him suggesting that he believed and tell the truth of you -- as a man of designers and if anybody knew him they knew there.
Yeah I know he he would be saying you know what.
I died for my country and he was a true man can and I think he deserved.
The truth.
And I think to everybody should know the truth and evidence of the bad.
Thing that they didn't let that fast and furious that should be found that never happens tick anybody -- -- button.
When I was Josephine -- yesterday she's the mother of murdered border agent Brian Terry.
Two guns found -- his murder scene were linked to operation fast and furious a federal gun running -- that allowed guns to walk into the hands of some very bad people in Mexico.
She is reacting there to the bombshell that President Obama is now invoking executive privilege to stop any more documents relating to this scandal.
From going.
To congress which is issued several subpoenas.
All this is house Republicans now move a step closer to holding the attorney general Eric Holder in contempt for failure to adequately respond to those subpoenas in their view.
Now the union representing US border agents.
Brian Terry was one of them says it's had enough.
It is calling for the attorney general to resign.
George in the come in the third is the president of that union the national border control council and he joins me now George welcome to the program.
You know mr.
holder has said that he has -- -- produced over 7000 documents that this -- now become political but he is the one who put a stop to this.
Operation not the one who initiated it he blames the bush administration for doing that.
So why do you believe he needs to go.
Well unfortunately.
The attorney -- made -- political he may have turned over 7000 documents.
But what the documents that they're requesting are relevant documents to find out who's at fault for this investigation.
And to hold those parties responsible.
Do you believe.
Mr.
holder when he says that he did not authorize this operation in that none of his top deputies even knew about it when it was under way.
Unfortunately at this point where you're happen to this investigation.
And no I do not believe the attorney general anymore why not.
If you -- being honest from the beginning.
We wouldn't be where we're at today to questions were pretty simple he needs to turn over the documents.
And -- hold both parties responsible.
He issued a statement yesterday through a spokesperson saying look I know the sacrifices that Border Patrol agents make.
I'm the one awarded the practice stopped but he said.
That chairman ice and certain members of his committee of made unsubstantiated allegations first and then scramble for facts to try to justify them later.
And he said the American people deserve better and that's.
Your thoughts on that -- Does he really understand what it is that we do has he reached out to the -- -- apologized.
For the actions.
I don't believe that he happens.
He ultimately did I if memory serves called the Terry family after he came under scrutiny for not calling -- Terry family of one of these congressional hearings I believe I'm just going -- memory right now.
Nonetheless do you feel that he is the person.
You know we should be blaming because he is saying it was the Phoenix.
Office of ATF and that you know this was apparently.
Sort of a rogue agency operation and that he has I wanna get the word -- correctly.
Made necessary person mild changes in the Department of Justice -- leadership with respect to those people -- DOJ who knew anything about it.
He's moved around a couple of people -- -- mentally he's America's top cop and he's responsible.
He can shift blame to one of these other agencies to another manager to another office but ultimately it lies with him.
And that's the reason that the national Border Patrol council is calling for his resignation.
How do you feel about the contempt vote.
Well unfortunately it came to that it should not have.
And unfortunately we're just gonna let this play out that's what we've been silent up to this point.
We tried to let this play out through the proper channels.
And it hasn't got to that point yet -- Terry family still has questions that need to be answered.
The White House weighed in on this earlier today -- Jay Carney -- and give you a bit of what he said.
At the beginning of this year.
Republicans announced that one of their chief legislative and strategic priorities.
Was to investigate the administration and damage the president politically.
We -- nine days away from the expiration of federal transportation funding which guarantees jobs.
For almost a million construction workers because congress has not passed a transportation bill.
We are ten days away from student loan rates doubling.
Potentially impacting over seven point four million borrowers yet instead of creating jobs or helping the middle class.
Congressional Republicans are focused on this politically motivated taxpayer funded election year fishing expedition.
-- -- -- Well my initial thoughts are unfortunately for us and for our organization.
This isn't about politics it's not about Republicans or Democrats.
It's about getting to the answers like I said earlier we were a year and a half into this.
So if they want to make that argument now that the Republicans are stalling because I don't want these other pieces of legislation passed.
I say no a year and a half ago he had the opportunity get this taken care of and to date he -- -- are you -- Republican organization George.
No we are not nonpartisan -- -- we represent where nonpartisan we represent the rank and file agents out in the field.
Last question for LA -- you you issued an a press release in which you called the attorney general's actions a slap in the face to all Border Patrol agents who serve this country.
Why did you say that.
Well the reason is simple we lost one of our own.
Agent Brian Terry was one of our Brothers.
And we want answers as well.
And we deserve those answers.
George thank you for being here thank you very much for having cancer.
-- almost immediately at.
