We're waiting for a verdict in the child sex abuse trial of the former Penn State assistant football coach.
And we now know that the sequester jurors today listened again.
To the testimony of a key prosecution witness a different a -- -- coach.
Who told the court that he believes he saw Jerry sandusky -- a boy in a university locker room.
That he saw the boy pinned against a wall would send -- feet behind him.
Coach -- -- he's accused of sexually abusing ten boys over the course of fifteen years.
During the trial eight of his accusers gave tearful testimony of what they say they endured.
Or forced oral sex and rape in Penn State buildings and it could send us -- home.
The coach has maintained his innocence but if convicted he could spend the rest of his life in prison.
Today -- send -- his own attorney said that he would -- have a heart attack if his client is acquitted of all the charges.
And further he said he told coats and asking that the chart chances he will be convicted of something.
Is strong.
And as you record just yesterday we learned that one of -- and does his own adopted sons has now go -- to police with accusations of his own.
Of abuse at the hands of his father.
But those accusations have no bearing on the outcome of the current trial which could come to a dramatic conclusion at any moment.
David Lee Miller's outside the courthouse in bell park Pennsylvania where he's covered the trial from the beginning.
David Lee any indication as to what's going on in the -- liberation room.
Well at this hour shepherd.
The jury is having dinner they're going to be having dinner for another thirty minutes and then the deliberations are going to continue.
But based on the questions that they have presented to the judge it does appear that they could be close to a verdict.
I say that because they asked for -- read back of testimony -- you mentioned concerning Mike McQueary that former assistant coach.
That dealt with -- victim number two.
A few hours ago they had questions dealing without the charges pertain to victim number eight.
Both of these two victims by the way -- anonymous the officials did not know authorities did not know who the actual victims -- but -- charges were filed based on witness testimony.
So it does appear to taking the charges in order they have progressed from -- -- -- and that would mean they have victims nine and ten to take up.
And that means we could get a verdict possibly in the next few hours -- These accusations from coach say that's his son that he too was a victim of coach San -- he's abuse.
Has -- -- reacted or responded or anything to those activate.
Going to -- arrived at the courthouse this morning.
That's the first question that reporters shouted -- to him and he ignored their questions but just a short time ago his attorney Joseph Amendola did tell reporters that.
-- -- -- -- Who rushed about the allegations.
And -- Amendola went on to say overall that throughout the trial -- and -- has been optimistic.
He described him as being like a little kid he says he's still maintains his innocence.
And the pressure of the trial has caused him to lose weight he still continues to grade and as you mentioned.
Amendola did tell Jerry sandusky that it's likely he is going to be convicted of some of the charges remember there aren't.
48 charges here -- -- now acknowledging that a conviction on at least some of them is very possible and if that happens.
He said his client is gonna go to -- Centre county jail.
Most likely placed in solitary confinement.
And if convicted worst case all the charges if you add up the Max.
He could -- 47472.
Years behind bars -- and that's before we get.
And these other allegations I -- the allegations from his own son.
There's and there's another set of allegations from a man has come forward to NBC news.
Might there be charges on either or both of those.
The prosecution here has ruled nothing out they have said repeatedly this is an ongoing investigation.
It may be other people arrested and they have not ruled out the possibility that they may be other shock charges filed against -- -- -- Beyond that -- consider the fact that some of these alleged crime took place outside a Pennsylvania.
In Texas for instance it's possible charges could be filed in other states and beyond that there's also the possibility.
That there could be federal charges as well.
No matter what the outcome here.
We're Jerry sandusky that uniter in the next few days very possibly he is going to have additional legal problems -- David Lee Miller outside the courthouse.
Does he mention that our crews on the ground have reason to believe that they may be close to a verdict of some kind.
We're on standby for that and will be throughout the evening.
As long as the jury is deliberating will bring you live coverage whenever it happens during this program or later programs throughout the better news here if you're planning under.
