And the movie is my character as a journalist and Seattle.

Yet why I know he's a character Colin got to meet him and he actually came on our set -- he's in the movie so if you saw the post office saying.

Are now and Darius are looking -- -- time traveler the first gentleman who comes in the white haired guy was actually the man who wrote the classified -- I -- well actually after reelected so -- Alfred Hitchcock appearing in his own his own movies little bet absolutely absolutely he does look cameo.

Now back to but new girl it's a huge hit.

Is comedy harder than drama free or is it dead equally easy.

You know I actually economy equally hard I think did it all depends.

-- the Scripps and what you know was great about safety not guaranteed is Derek Connolly wrote a script or each character had a full arc.

And a full story -- -- scene was really flushed out.

And so even though the parts of that movie that are more dramatic.

It was there on page so we just had to kind of trust the process.

And what's really fun about new girl.

Is being able to work what is -- and Macs in the morning Hannah.

Well we all know each other's rhythms are ready as actors say get to just step in and can -- keep working that muscle.

When you pick up this group before you got involved in -- project the movie or the TV show.

Could you tell I'm just looking at the script that these would be successes or a -- I mean at what point do you think this is going to be great.

Hey you know I really wish I could tell but the truth is I can't.

You know I read the script for safety not guaranteed and I knew that I liked it a lot.

But this is the far marked applause came on as -- -- This is the floor robbery was attached is Darius and so I just kind of sought for what it was that I think is it's a very good screenplay and it's a very interesting story.

And -- -- her -- Sam I read the pilot.

And I really wasn't sure and I didn't know we had a -- on our hands really until the pilot arid and we got the response from the fans.

And we is -- -- a good idea.

Well for -- not guaranteed we screened it at Sundance and we got a big ovation from the crowd and that was the first time I started thinking that you know we might have something in this -- Which should -- -- at least -- of serve an ensemble cast it's a little bit like in my business a lot easier took.

Almost two solo anchor than to have -- co anchor because you've got to work with -- but it it's a whole new dynamics.

But if if the ensemble works its very power -- -- the viewers love this sort I have you know -- particular friend their favorite character.

Absolutely I think -- really nice about you know new girl in terms of the -- sound was it took us a little bit tall figure out what we like to do.

And what each of us brings to the table but now that we all know what it just makes it more fun to have the other people there.

I went back look to your biography of I've been an active an awful long time in school -- is in a creative end of school I'm curious if he had got and acting do you have -- A plan B that enormous success as -- actors who don't need a plan B but what was your plan B.

You -- -- I'll tell you now that it's you know at this moment it's working out I feel relieved because I really didn't have a plan -- When he had -- in every time he never thought I'm doing anything else.

And then act and I kept kind getting you know credit for it.

And luckily for me it's working out as of right now because I don't know what -- -- done.

You dream project a dream person to work with.

Well I you know I just sold an idea where if I'm right and partner Max link -- that.

Really counted right Iran Iraq is gonna write that Steve Carell attached himself -- and weird if that happens we're gonna play opposite of each other.

And that's a real dream project because I couldn't be a bigger fan of has.

I I was and then I'm good.

On the dramatic sat on a joke especially so a combination Joseph Pesci -- and Steve Carell would be just about perfect.
