Hi everyone I'm Laura Ingraham in for Bill O'Reilly who will be joining us in just a moment thanks for watching us tonight two huge stories.
Obama care upheld and congress finding Eric Holder in contempt so let's get right to it.
The Supreme Court upholding most of president Obama's health care law.
This decision affects nearly every American requiring almost everyone to have health insurance or pay a fine.
The court saying that fine is essentially attacks and the government has the power to impose this tax.
But Republican lawmakers and Mitt Romney are vowing to repeal it if the law.
The law if they win in November making this a huge campaign issue in the presidential race.
Joining us now from North Carolina where he is on vacation.
Is Bill O'Reilly no rest for the weary so bill how does this affect the average American.
Well I think everybody -- dig deep breath and step back from emotional.
I doubt there and and here's really what.
Justice Roberts did today and it's Justice Roberts did.
Because before conservatives.
I'm -- Kennedy and that they thought that this was an overreach by the government.
And the four liberals they want the government to -- It was Robert you really.
Stunned everybody.
This basically says that the Supreme Court will allow.
The federal government to take over the health care system.
All right -- up until now the private sector.
-- health care system the insurance -- and they screwed it up.
Because they kept making it more and more and more bad there's a lot of people can't afford it -- if you get really sick.
You can lose every penny you have if you don't have the right insurance.
So the government stepped in it but no we can do it better this is what they do in Canada's -- what they do and great Britain and most European country.
-- -- he called socialized medicine call whatever you want but the government calls the shots in the Supreme Court has bet now.
That there are OK with the government running the American.
Health care industry.
I -- -- me it means that a poor Americans it's good.
Because it the government gonna give them health insurance just hand -- to for free just like they give welfare food stamps to whatever it and other entitlement.
For more affluent Americans and some working Americans is bad because your taxes are gonna go up to pay for.
The free stuff the free health care that's going to the -- America.
And for business is bad because now they don't know small business in particular how much health insurance is gonna cost them.
Because the government can charge whatever the government wants the charge because just Robert that in fact.
So they can tax you as much as they want they can -- is what they want -- business is bad because the uncertainty continues.
The hiring is going to be -- and the economy is going to be on the back across the board of what it did for everybody.
Well -- one thing that is for sure here -- when you have and the Chief Justice of course nominated by George W.
Bush.
I'd at deciding this monumental case he was the swing vote.
54 decision.
That would without a doubt erodes personal liberties.
The rose up people's lives and the question.
The rich people can always afford to buy the coverage they need or pay for health that we health care out of pocket.
But the middle class that Barack Obama said he was going to protect under this ruling written by the Chief Justice.
They are really gonna get shafted here because they're gonna K.
For this this monstrosity one way or not there it through this quote taxation.
Or through continue doubt ramp up care that ends up being rationed in the end.
Well it's going to be rationed because there aren't going to be enough doctor.
You.
To distribute the carrot that you want -- hip replacement you're gonna wait much longer time than you would now did you hit it right.
The rich people are going to be able -- a doctor to do a lot of doctors -- just gonna opt out it is not gonna you know being involved with it.
And it won't take Medicare and Medicaid and that is gonna say I'm going to be a private person.
And that's what they're doing Great Britain but here's the big -- here.
Americans have to decide what kind of country they want -- Because in November if Americans go to the polls and say we don't want the government running everything because that's what Barack Obama want.
Do you want a huge federal government the level playing field and redistribute income that's what the -- want -- obvious this is another play on that.
So working Americans middle class Americans have to decide you want to -- Sweden.
What you want to go back to the free market -- the problem with the Republicans in this dispute.
If -- have to put -- something better.
Romney can't just say I hate Obama care I'm gonna repeal it if -- president.
But why can't repeal it and what the senate goes Republican are right and number two he's not gonna win the presidency and what he says.
Here's what I'm gonna do that better.
Because there's little hole there is -- all questions.
That the private insurance companies have allowed it to get out of control the cost the medical -- to get out of control.
A lot lot of that is because the half billion in direct competition has not really in -- I don't -- -- -- -- the medical malpractice -- all out of control.
And instead of the government saying we're gonna pick the private that the -- -- -- it by setting up rules about bought these by setting up rules about catastrophic insurance instead of doing that they didn't know where it'll run at all.
And and this is a huge power grab.
So now under President Obama the federal government.
It's becoming a huge -- -- this -- you write it intrude on personal freedom.
Because you're gonna have the right to do anything other than what the government won't tell him to do and what you look big -- Now I'm in the bottom line is now that this is called attacks and this is not the way the -- was written a court rewrote the statute to hold it.
But if you call this a tax bill that means that pretty much the government can make you do anything that's in -- javelin -- every cannot go to our backs and making yeah.
I don't want to -- what you don't want Barack little walk exactly and then Romney -- four legged out.
Romney -- raised about two million dollars since the decision came down.
That debt Blogosphere has been gone crazy people and we -- -- the -- -- -- Well you know -- -- -- conservatives don't want this because they want more government not more powerful.
Well what Romney has to do it with something better very specific -- -- -- what I'm gonna do.
To make their health care system better in the private entity doesn't that he's got a chance.
What how much that we got.
-- well again we have time to do Eric Holder Eric Holder content value ten I can't put it is all about ladies and gentlemen I want everybody to -- that.
What this is all about is the Democratic Party walking out.
On the family.
Of the Border Patrol agent Brian Terry who was -- That's what this is all about -- people -- theater editor and her acolytes who walked out of that chamber -- is that it just casting a vote of conscience.
All right against that that's what they believe they believed that.
Eric Holder should -- to explain what happened here that's -- the Democratic Party believes they walked out on this family.
This family has a right to know how there's -- would would kill.
Ordered the program when the attorney general the president knew about the program and what -- attorney general did after he'd do.
We have a light.
But more importantly -- carried.
Amelie has -- what I -- Americans didn't know how they're -- was killed.
And the Democratic Party in the president of the United States says it's very badly -- I don't.
You know where you're not gonna tell you.
That's what brought out all -- the other stuff is being yet.
It's telling the families we're not gonna tell you -- your son was still I'm not going to do what.
Outrageous.
Price and all of that stuff is being is being lost in the political war.
-- boil it all down really -- -- Decision by the Supreme Court.
Think the power of the federal government they -- over at the healthcare industry period.
The walk out of the Democrat and the executive privilege invoked by the president.
Is that the Perry family and every other American we are not accountable you we will not.
Tell you how this Border Patrol agent and dozens of other people were killed.
We are not going to do it it's outrageous.
-- people have got to figure it out and they got to go to the polls in November and they have to decide what kind of country they want.
Period.
Bill O'Reilly.
Great to talk to thanks so much -- -- -- -- -- well and next on.
