Happy Friday I'm meteorologist Janice Dean taking a look at your temperatures across the northwest -- much of the country -- into a heat wave.

We all need to go to Seattle today 69 degrees.

I'd love to be in 69 degree temperatures 76 in Portland.

83 and you'd and that is you had -- poured Salt Lake City you're at nine V8.

Across the midwest and the Great Lakes and Ohio River valley that's where the heat is searing.

We have two dozen states under some sort of heat advisory really dangerous so 105 again for Saint Louis today -- in Kansas City 93 Chicago.

But with the humidity it's going to feel even warmer than that so please please be careful.

Taking a look at the satellite and radar imagery we do the threat for some severe weather across the midwest back through the central plains -- we could see some hail damaging winds.

Isolated tornadoes and we're also looking at.

Unsettled weather for the northwest most most of the weekend so keeping an eye on -- system out there otherwise the rest of the region remains pretty dry and warm and sticky so again just be he's -- of those warnings especially the heat warnings.

And stay indoors inside where the air conditioning yes.
