This is good says the national health care law stands but some Republican governors say they don't care they -- refusing to implement the law instead they -- counting on governor Mitt Romney winning the election and repealing obamacare.

Florida governor Rick Scott is one of the leading opponents of the president's health care law so what does he plan to do next governor fat guys good evening -- Good evening you know -- this is it was so disappointing.

This is going to be devastating for patients.

Devastating for taxpayers.

It's going to be the biggest job killer ever.

We're not gonna implement obamacare in Florida.

We're not going to expand Medicaid.

Because we're gonna do the right thing we're not gonna do the exchange because what this does is raise the cost of health care for also -- it just doesn't work.

This did not believe me -- separate out one part -- -- that would take it one by one.

The expansion of the Medicaid.

You you are not going -- you say that you're gonna reject -- money from the federal government.

We're already struggling Medicaid is being -- in the state of Florida at three and a half times -- general revenue.

Three and a half times.

It's growing.

Way faster than our grow our our economies come back we've had when did the biggest we've had this is the biggest drop of unemployment of any state in the last year and a half -- wind.

So our economy's coming back well but Medicaid was still growing faster.

This would be devastating.

It would increase the cost of Florida taxpayers.

One point nine billion dollars per year.

We knew we can't pay for that there's no way the authority is gonna pay for that.

-- let -- -- that Medicaid is one category that you say that it that is growing as very cost to the -- I've got them but what I talk about Medicaid expansion.

What I understand that to be -- -- and -- expanding the pool of people who are eligible.

For Medicaid.

And as -- further understand is that that expanded pool which is going to be as good as they paid for that the federal government is going to pay for that.

100% of it for a period of time and then later on down the future.

The state your case ordered that to pick up about almost 10% of the freight is that how you understand it and -- are we wrong about that but.

But Florida taxpayers pay for the federal government.

We pay our personally -- taxes.

It's -- I mean every day so we don't got some states yet read some states like meanwhile things -- pays for is like for nursing home for senior citizens which.

I assume is is not an insignificant matter in your state so other states actually helped pay for Florida as they contributed the federal government.

Now now now now -- weird donor state we we we pay more than our fair share taxes.

The one point nine billion dollars is the expansion because of obamacare we already have the issues that are that are Medicaid program which would look we care about haven't.

A health care safety net for the vulnerable Floridians.

But this is an expansion that just doesn't make any sense but every government program in the world.

They say I'm gonna cover everything they run out of money they -- they're not honest they stop paying providers well.

And then there's no one to take care because that's exactly what this will do.

Florida tax supported businesses there's no way I was in a business the other day.

And they and they walk up to me they said governor is this really gonna become the law because of it does we're out of business we have twenty employees.

We know we won't be able to buy any health care for anybody so.

This is -- this doesn't do the drivers free market -- health care this is this is just a big government insurance program.

That does nothing to deal with the cost of health care the free market will fix health care.

Price is we have two options one is you can and hope that did president that President Obama is not reelected and that it's governor promises he said he's gonna work prepare us.

That's choice number one and I guess well with a net choice also is that the -- that the senate goes Democrat in there there working that way.

-- the other choice have it the other choice is simply to say no to the Medicaid expansion.

And no -- created Agassi's these exchanges what happens then -- -- state.

But the first thing we're in do is we're gonna work tirelessly to make sure this gets repealed.

You're gonna elect individuals -- say we're gonna get rid of this because we know it's devastating for patients taxpayers and jobs we need jobs and our state.

If if that doesn't happen we are still not going to implement these exchanges exchanges are not gonna reduce the cost of health care they're gonna increase the -- health care.

Expanding Medicaid is not gonna help the citizens of Florida.

It's happening making Medicaid better it's gonna make it worse we're gonna run out of money the things that we care about we won't be able to afford it says.

Just for Floridians he'll be -- one point nine billion dollar tax increase.

If you don't do the state exchanges and tell me if I'm wrong does feel long not provide that the federal government essentially creates an exchange for -- -- forces to enter a federal exchange -- wrong.

But look here's what -- person but I believe it's going to be repealed because I believe this is going to be rallying cry on top and jobs.

But if that if it hey if that's if it ever -- in -- becomes law we're not gonna implement those exchanges -- -- the federal government will because they are gonna come the same conclusion.

That I've come to this will not reduce the cost of health care for Americans.

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Absolutely and you know -- everyone I've so I've spoken to him.

It is doing the same thing we're saying look we're not gonna expand Medicaid we're not gonna implement the exchanges.

We -- gonna do everything we can to make sure we elect individuals they're gonna repeal this because.

We care about the assistance of our state we know this will be bad for their health care we won jobs -- -- this is gonna this is gonna put American businesses.

-- unbelievable disadvantage as compared to businesses around the world.

Who's putting who's -- -- line in the sand with Eminem I think it's pretty -- you're taking and making your position very well known -- drawn that line in the -- what other governors have you spoken to they think they're rallying around with you on us.

-- the other you know if you look at what other governors are saying look at what Scott Walker said of the Wisconsin look at Governor Perry said look away Bobby Jindal sent down Louisiana.

We all know.

That this will be bad for the citizens of each of our states we cannot if we have got -- worked tirelessly.

To elect individuals this fall they're gonna repeal this.

Because citizens and every one of our State's needs jobs is will be a job killer.

We need to make sure we take care the vulnerable we can afford it those I have to have health health health care provided by this state and federal government.

We can do that if this becomes a law.

Is did she ever before the system the Florida that if you don't have a that study of the situation where people who don't have health insurance.

-- -- -- not covered by the if they just go to an emergency room and get medical care -- -- try not to be cheaper for the system or.

Or not put.

-- you know I ran I ran a program in 2009 what we should do if we wanna reduce which we have to do reduce the cost health care.

We need consumers to have it be able to choose a health care policy they want.

Mean you need to know what things cost any more for competition.

You should have a tax break from as an individual just like a business so when you change jobs don't lose your health care so the pre existing condition will go away.

And reward people for eating right exercising don't smoke that was actually reduce the cost of health care so more people can afford health care.

This is the government the more government involvement the more me just retain some is gonna buy insurance doesn't mean any of us can afford it.

And think about what has a government ever purchased cheaper than the private sector they don't they always and it always over promise and -- -- And I thought things that I keep cares about the doctor shortage which is -- curious you can have health insurance that they can't get a -- -- health insurance is a good -- any good I'm not sure what we're doing about that problem.

-- credit look at look around the world look at look at the cases and Canadian system where they they did they -- -- they just like obamacare they promise all these things.

And they don't have enough money so what happens providers don't through the -- there's not have providers are -- doctors that take care people.

He had what I have a little -- that's exactly what's gonna happen.

Governor thank you know we'll be watching thanks for John -- --
