Hi everyone I'm meteorologist Mario -- now from the fox -- weather center with your forecast for.

The northwest and also the midwest and the northwest is pretty much the only part of the country that is.

Looking at temperatures that are on the cooler side are below average -- -- -- -- looking at high temperature this afternoon at 67 degrees.

75 in Portland and 83 over in Medford.

But take a look at the rest of the northwest Boise Idaho 93 for high temperature today 96 in Salt Lake City and 89 over in Billings Montana so we're already seeing -- hot temperatures in place.

Across eastern parts of the northwest.

Midwest it's going to be a scorcher we have a large area of high pressure in place.

And basically that system is producing some very hot temperatures it's been doing so sends last week and which is continuing to see that here.

In place across the midwest throughout most of today and also into most of this work -- -- in North -- 103 for high temperature.

When a one over and Dodge City and Minneapolis you're gonna be seeing a high temperature at 99 degrees this afternoon added some humidity and it could feel even hotter so take that in mind -- -- -- -- typically when there's humidity in place.

Will be warmer than those temperatures that you actually see.

Now early -- it's mostly quite as far as rainfall goes we do have one relatively weak system though that is pushing into parts of the northern plains and will produce some showers and storms.

Most of the heavier stuff -- will be -- -- and he takes place during the afternoon hours you'll see some of the heavier activity.

Northwest is on the cool side because you actually have some onshore flow.

I need to have a storm system that's relatively weak but impacting your area produce and some light showers today and we'll continue to do so as well higher elevations could actually see some snow for the -- towards the north.

Across parts of -- -- Seattle by tomorrow morning you're so that means dealing with some isolated showers in their mid west.

We drying out from that storm system that's going to be pushing on through otherwise by Wednesday morning.

Both region's relatively quiet with generally dry weather in place.

And again those hot temperatures still in place -- expected across midwest by Wednesday.

Have a great -- everyone I'm meteorologist -- -- now from the fox extreme weather senator.
