Speaker John Henderson for the obamacare is bad for the.

The president's health care law is hurting our economy.

-- driving up health care cost and making it harder.

For small businesses to hire new workers.

-- make of today's ruling underscores the urgency.

Of repealing this harmful law in its sincerity.

Well my next guest agree with the speaker joining us from Saint Louis or owners of macarthur's -- it's -- family run business -- MacArthur who's been with his before.

And his brother Randy MacArthur thanks guys for being here.

But anyway.

Like a lot of small business is you've got fewer people coming in the door buying things because of the recession business is down.

Yet Obama care is gonna cost you more money at least I would -- explain to me how is -- gonna cost you more money.

And what does this mean for you staying in business.

Well it's -- mayor Mike it's already cost us more money.

-- census the mandate started taking effect in 2010.

We've had a lot of things that have been mandated is -- coverage as it used to be options.

And we have had no it.

Cap on premium.

So we have seen in the last two years to subsequent.

Increase proposals for our health insurance for our fifty lives and our small bakery.

Of 22%.

The first year.

And 28%.

Last year.

And that is forced us to to do our.

A whole policy changes.

We've had to raise deductibles increase co pays and the out of pocket for our small and bakery employees has drastically increased.

-- will it affect the kind of quality care -- your employees can get I mean obviously this cost keeps going up that's a staggering.

Increase in what the cost of doing business so it's not a single person buys a loaf of bread you've got fixed cost you have to take care -- -- How do you -- Well you don't mind it's great to be here again in the and in but what -- -- it's it's not old pour me aren't what aren't what people got to realize it's pouring.

Where you know we've been active policy in place for employees but the problem is now -- can afford policy.

You know -- watched just recently with -- change like.

Emergency were emergency room went from 75 dollars to 300 dollars urgent care point five dollars to 100 dollars.

You know I've got a good friend who works for a small government municipality.

-- went from 425.

I think it was but what went to was 500 dollars.

Now here's a mom she was told me -- story you know she said my son like twenty months old.

He's sick it's midnight it's Sunday I called the doctor and they say taking to the hospital he's got a 104 Bieber.

And I'm going 500 dollars 104 fever 500 dollars -- and -- super.

Can understand I mean she feels like she's a terrible -- But she's got to make a financial decisions suddenly this isn't good for the people that -- pay your bills the people that never paid their bills secure or less anyway.

They're gonna go using emergency rooms free don't care.

Suggested that that's something out of it.

-- days like you Randy.

Randy what you're describing is that you know -- your -- gonna continue to go up if you raise the price of your products because you're selling out retail bakery goods if you raise the price too much.

Then what happens if you're trying to meet those increased cost that the government is put on you.

Well we've already seen what happened we're going to -- worst recession in history but food.

Lost over the last four years have gone up over 38%.

In our market basket.

So -- prices have gone up about thirteen to 14%.

In that period and every time we've seen a price increase what we've seen is.

We sell all less of our high dollar items -- people are forced to buy less expensive products so our gross profit our gross.

Sales dollars have gone down from 2008.

About two to 3% while our gross units have gone up three to 4%.

So you have got a good idea what that does to the bottom line there is no price elasticity left.

For small businesses.

Davis or some -- which you bring your employs together and say look guys here's the deal.

If Obama keeps his job you may not be -- keep yours.

Hit home of governor you're talking to -- -- that never my wife says do you ever talk anything but politics and religion.

I'm not -- we got all the time.

I don't but you know this is what small business people better be doing we've got to be educated in our employees exactly what's what happened.

I'll -- -- 40% of our employees voted for Obama but at the last there were hoping for hope and change like a lot of people work -- -- read the fine print.

And you know what they're the ones -- in this health insurance card right now with their deductible and -- you know all that stuff.

You don't have to talk to him real hard about it because it's hit their wallets and it's hit them hard.

Well guys I think it's very important to have the perspective of people -- actually in business trying to make things work.

Dave -- great to have you here hope to see you soon and remember sharing some samples from the.
