Welcome now to America's election headquarters.

President Obama won the health care victory with the Supreme Court ruling but he's not getting much of a bump in the polls.

Meanwhile -- poll from a competing cable network shows governor Romney pulling ahead of the president in the key battleground states.

So what's going on let's talk about David mark -- of the daily caller is executive editor.

Lot of people thought -- the Supreme Court validated the health care decision it would be a good thing for the president he made it his.

Signature this signature -- legislation of his term in office thus far Joseph Biden said it was a big F Ing deal what's going on David.

Well I think -- it is certainly it's it's going to be a long road in November we don't exactly know yet but my gut tells me right now that this has been a polarizing decision.

It's going to energize a lot of Republicans especially the Tea Party members.

I think John Roberts at the Supreme Court really woke a sleeping giant.

The Tea -- years have been casting about without really -- missions since the elections in 2010 -- now they've got one.

Now the Smart ones among them understand that the senate is the ball game.

If they can get the Republicans -- controlled the senate in the fall.

Win or lose the White House at least the entire congress could acts conceivably to defund the implementation of Obama -- -- budget measures.

In other words the battle's not over I think the Republicans are going to be energized.

And that whatever bump Obama might get is just going to be from his base.

And right now of course does the big debate is what is it is it it taxes and not attacks.

I think that the Republicans are recognizing that it's sort of like got Donald Trump's hair you know is it is it is a bright orange -- the dark orange that really matter if it doesn't work it doesn't work.

And so we're we're gonna see a lot of anger Republicans in the -- really coming to the polls and some energy.

I saw one poll put out -- the Kaiser Family Foundation they said that a third of Republicans say this health -- disease makes them more likely to vote in November.

The Democrats don't seem to have that kind of enthusiasm 18%.

Say the decision will motivate them to go to the polls is this a net gain for the GOP.

Well we'll have to see how these swing states turn out -- -- you know if if more and more Republicans in the you know when a state like.

Gosh.

Like you don't North Dakota for instance go to vote it's not gonna make that big a difference in a safe state.

But it if it really motivates Republicans in Ohio and Florida some of those swing states to go back -- -- -- game changer.

And that's why this poll that came yesterday from opinion research -- Done for you say competing cable network is so important.

Did -- I would caution viewers though and an -- away from reading too much into this.

There were still 20% of the the surveyed registered voters in that poll who said they could still change their mind before November so the middle was very soft.

And also they surveyed registered voters not likely voters so usually a poll of likely voters that shows Mitt Romney eight points ahead in the swing states with a very hard middle.

And then we'll have something serious to talk about until then it's unfortunately just fodder for cable TV shows for a.

And I guess as they say the only poll that matters is the one that's taken on Election Day come November deadline -- -- right from the David our daily caller thank you.
