Well hundreds of thousands of people around the world could lose Internet service on Monday.

Officials say it's because of malware that may have taken control of many people's computers more than a year ago.

But experts say there is a way to get rid of it.

Cyber terrorism analyst Morgan Wright joins us now and Morgan your analogy was this is like shut down all the traffic signals and -- New York City would lead to chaos try to explain that.

Total chaos all because the traffic lights you know use an analogy like the central nervous system control all the traffic they tell you where to go they tell you when to stop and when you can go.

The domain name service the system.

It's a way of changing these IP addresses you know changing these -- to an actual website address like www.foxnews.com.

Without that kind of control and direction you're basically -- you can't go anywhere.

And that's what these criminals did hijack your ability to get to the real Internet by making you come to their inner.

So so the FBI locate these hijackers right they set up this kind of a safety net server -- and now this safety net.

Is ineffective or at least it's no longer good as of Monday what -- there.

What cost.

If you're one of the probably sixty to 70000 people in the US you're not gonna be on the Internet at that point I mean there's a way.

They set up website and I put a couple of -- links when I sent it to the producer but I think it's DC WGG got to work.

But there's a way to go to C if you have a green light you know click this -- it's hosted by the FBI and by industry people.

And it'll tell you -- are you going to the real Internet or not but what had this this goes back to you know you and I've talked before on several things around terrorism.

Even though this is -- terrorism related this is actually.

Affecting at the same we we take control of an air traffic control on notice or just talking to the FAA former spokesman you know that this is this is the this is equivalent taken over air traffic control and telling all the planes what you want them to do.

Without -- guidance around -- security.

That we could actually stop I mean a lot of us would come to a hall.

Yet let me just note record mortgages that we can say we you know we're not have -- -- up here this whole -- -- has talked about is gonna be on foxnews.com.

Because they're covering this thing from start to finish it bought a foxnews.com.

If you're worried about it and they will guide you through.

Had to take corrective action for your computer are all -- social networking sites that were involved in now mean is this is this Morgan making us more vulnerable to these types of bugs.

Not really but operative Trace what it is this is actually social engineering this is less about technology bit more about me getting you to take it -- you believe this trusted.

But is really on precedents give you to download a file it's getting you to do something.

And click on the security -- whether it's windows or Mac to say I trust us.

And you're right -- you if you hear from a friend you're more likely to trust that -- what that friends infected.

And passing along this information there's a high probability something's gonna happen to you.

In -- next Internet expert Morgan right Morgan thank you -- did it again foxnews.com.

By the way for the fix we didn't wanna just kind of blurred by there.
